What is your favorite food tradition during these holidays.

By far, Pizza Rustica is my favorite Easter food tradition.

Re: Favorite Easter/Passover food

It is an italian pie of sorts and I think every family that makes it makes it their own way. It has a crust on top and bottom and is filled with italian meats, ricotta, mozzarella, hardboiled eggs. There are variations without the eggs, that are just meat and mozzarella . . . .

Yes, we call it Easter Pie also. Whenever I call it that people have no idea what I am talking about, so I refer to it as pizza rustica. My family also calls it "Pizza Gain." Maybe because it is so bad for you that it makes you gain? Chat Icon
