So funny that you posted this. We just got back from mine. It was in VA this year. We have them every 2 years in a different state (Texas last time).
Five generations pictured from GA, TX, NY, NJ, MD, NC, TN and VA 
DH's is coming up in August but I'm not sure if we're going to SC.

They used to...but everyone moved and is now scattered along the eastern seaboard and too busy with their own immediate families to care. My cousin and I were actually discussing trying to have one .....but don't think others would be as eager to participate.

I think this is just so fantastic. Until a few years ago, my husband's family did one every year at various relative's homes. It just started getting so hard with so many of the kids starting college. I was just telling my husband that I missed "his" reunion and wish my kids got to see more of their second and third cousins.

My huge, crazy family goes to a resort in the Irish Catskills every year for a long weekend. It is always a blast with lots of debauchery. At the last one, my poor DH got officially "initiated" into the family by my overprotective older cousins around a bonfire. They must have asked him 200 questions about his "intentions", what he does for a living, does he want children, etc. I wanted to  but it was all in good fun. He passed the test though and I have no doubt he'll be lovin' it the next time a "newbie" joins the clan. Crazy Irish folk.

Once in a longgggg while...
we are actually doing a pseudo reunion on January on a cruise!
it started out that my great uncle was going with his kids on a cruise for his 80th bday...then my great aunt told the neices and nephews and many of them decided to go- including my parents...then, it dwindled down to the great neices and nephews-my cousins and I-and second cousins- and many of us are going- I think we are 30 cabins! should be exciting
