Do you skip naps or cut naps short for activities?

Hi Everyone,
For those with kids age 9m-1y, would you ever cut a nap short to attend a class? is this a bad idea?
Not sure if it will be worth it!

I won't. If she doesn't sleep, it's a bad day for everyone. But not all babies are like this. It all depends on your child's personality.

My DS takes his first nap at 8:30-9am. I signed him up for a 10:45 class once a week and yesterday was his first day. I actually had to wake him up for it, but he did really well! He usually sleeps until 10:30ish and I woke him at 10. He is 9.5mo.

Re: Do you skip naps or cut naps short for activities?

I didn't. My DS needed to sleep during the day and wouldn't nap anywhere but his crib. So his schedule did dictate my schedule the first 2 years, but I figured that's what I signed on for and it would eventually pass.

I think sleep habits are one of those things they are born with. I know lots of people will say they take the baby out late or skip naps so they will adjust. My baby never adjusted, he was just miserable and made DH and I miserable if he didn't nap when he needed to. I gave up trying to make him adjust and we adjusted our schedules to work with the naps.
