Why are her naps so short this week??

Ugh! I thought DD was finally getting herself into a nice routine of taking a 2 hr nap and sleeping 9-10 hrs at night.

This week she decided that a 45 minute nap was sufficient and no amount of nursing, rocking, driving around the neighborhood could change her mind.

Any advice or insight?Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

she may be transitioning to 1 nap if she has not already done so....

maybe her nap time needs shifting?

well, my DD is only 6.5 months but i find that some weeks like today she will take 2 2hr naps!Chat Icon and then like a few days later it's one hour naps tops or only ONE 2 hr nap for the whole day. for some reason it keeps changing Chat Icon sometimes i just attribute it to teething.

She shifted to one nap a month or so ago and it has been a nice 2 hr nap for a while and this week she just decided that 45 minutes was okay AND it has been horrendous getting her to go down. Ugh! I think 11 months is too soon to be doing this.

is there anything different about her routine?
anything new going on?

Maybe the weather is throwing her off?

Two weeks ago she started walking but that didn't affect her at first. I wonder if there is something else I don't know. I always thought the milestones kept them up at night not that they interrupted the nap in the dayChat Icon

No advice, but I have heard that once they get themselves into a nice schedule, they decide to change it Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
