Yes it does. I totally understand what you mean. It is like the people in real life who tell you how easily they got pregnant. It is the same feeling. Upset, jealous, etc...
I do really love this board! It is great to have a place to go to chat and I know someone will always be feeling the same way.
You ladies rock!

It really bothers me too. I think if someone hasn't posted here, then they should go right to pregnancy. Why post on TTC if u aren't really trying, but already have conceived.

Re: do you get upset when.....
ITA and feel the same exact way...don't feel bad I think that it's only natural to feel this way when we've all been trying for a while & had our own struggles and heartaches and then someone else's first (or second) post is just an announcement of their success. It's totally just their joy coming through, so they don't realize that it comes off as rubbing it in everyone else's face. Whenever I read a post like that I just try to remember that - they're just so excited that they have to share it with someone...they don't mean to hurt us

I know what you mean and have actually been wanting to post this- but didn't want to come across as nasty/bitter.
I hate when people are like- I have never posted before but just wanted to let you know i'm preggo!!
I feel like saying- why wouldn't you just go straight to the pg board if you've never posted??
Then I feel like a loser because I actually get bothered by that.
I could have written this myself. I feel jealous and bitter and then embarrassed for feeling that way all at once. I wish that I didn't but I do. I guess I just wish it could be me. We are starting our fourth cycle now and I wish I could have been someone that just- BAM!- got pregnant.
I truly feel like something is wrong with my LP and it worries me. Today is not a good day.

I am feeling the same way. I may not post a lot but I am here and it kind of stings when you read the BFP posts from someone that is new. I am happy for them but then I feel sorry for me and DH because we are doing everything and getting no where.

I am glad someone posted this and we are all in agreement here- I find it strange that they would not go directly to the preg bd, talk about rubbing salt into a wound - not that I am not happy for them I am, but I find it a little strange with 5 posts and they get a BFP.

I can understand where you guys are coming from and I do agree that if someone never posts to come and announce it would sting/hurt the girls who have been here waiting for their BFP.
But I'm a lurker myself I don't post or contribute too much because I'm not temping, buying OPK's, Charting..etc. DH and I are more along the lines of, if it happens it happens. And to pop on every month to announce that 'I'm out' doesn't make much sense to me.
It doesn't mean that I'm not right there with you girls experiencing what your going through every month I get my BFN, or read about a MC, or the frustration and how BDing can be more of a chore etc.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that not all of us lurkers are bad.
I could have written this myself.
2.5 Years ago, I was a HUGE contributor to this board and everyone on here helped and supported so much. 9 Months later I got my BFP. I will say, it did hurt when people announced BFPs and Im sitting there thinking "Jeeez, these girls just got here and they're leaving already". It's hard, yet, the support is amazing!
I do try and come on to TTC, but, I admit, I don't post as much because we are "going with the flow" this time around.
I wish you all TONS of

a TTC after loss would be a great board...
last year after my first and second loss i felt so hopeless, its great we have a thread on this board- but a board specifically for that would be great....

Part of me fears of getting to "into" this board and driving myself nutty. I'm trying to not think to much into it...ya know. So because I don't post, doesn't mean people on this board aren't helping.

I think it's just like LIW in that sense. Sometimes you see what other people are doing and it inspires you, other times you see what others are doing and it makes you step back.
It's not like everyone here is pushing temping and seeing REs.
The first thing I ask people is how aggressive they want to be with TTC. If they say they just want to "see what happens" then I have certain suggestions - if they say they want to get pregnant as quickly as possible, then I'd have other suggestions.
I think this board is a great source of support - and it can also be a great place for information and advice.
Like I said before, I don't mind if someone comes on and says they've been a long time lurker and got their BFP and wanted to share what they did and/or their symptoms. I think those are great! It's the people who we've NEVER seen before who come onto TTC and post a BFP - it's more appropriate for the pregnancy board.

ya know - i don't think this site 'makes ya nutty'... we talked about this at our GTG recently...
this site has, if anything, made me LESS nutty about it...it gives me....trying to come up with the right word...it gives me joy. to know that other women are out there, going through what i am.... no matter what you do with your day - you are thinking of TTC'ing...so why not share your stories?
I believe, and i bumped this because I believe, that this thread was intented to discuss brand new accounts, who ONE POST this board with a BFP.
I kinda feel like if someone hasn't gone through 'anything' with us during their ttc period, no 2ww, no wto - why bother sharing the BFP?

maybe some people just aren't comfy sharing it as they're going through it. I'm all for sharing what I did when it happens but while going through it...I don't know for me personally I WILL drive myself crazy....b/c I know. I think everyone has their own comfort zones....
this was in NO WAY to insult a single person...but I was sharing why I personally don't post but that I lurk always.
& would hope me posting a BFP would be good news.

Re: do you get upset when.....
Isn't this kind of what that other post was referring to the other day? Not the negativity part, but the part about people being resentful of others getting BFP's quickly?
I immediately thought of this post when I read that response.
I, for one, will go straight to the pg board if and when I get a BFP, especially since I probably won't post here on any of the serious TTC related topics. I get all the info I need just by lurking.
(PS- I'm not even TTC yet, just thinking about it. When I do start to TTC, I'll probably only participate as much as I do now- so I know I'll be one of the people this thread is about.)
JMHO.
This is what I'm talking about: copied from the other thread:

Ok .. This is my opinion on this... I have been on this board since 2006 not only the TTC but the infertility board with a friend of mine... Yes there is alot of knowledge here and it's always good to have cyber friends to talk to regarding things going on...especially when you dont really want your family or friends to know what is going on... But I also feel that if everything is always positive its fake.. There has to be negative feedback as well... When I was pg with DS I asked tons of questions and some were good and some bad, and I took both...
I know some of you here have been trying for a long time with no luck and some get BFP with in a 1 or 2 or trying... And yes it hurts to see some of us getting that BFP month after month and for us nothing... For those who have no luck and that have been trying for months dont get upset of mad at those who have luck...
The way I look at it is I am here on this earth healthy and if god wanted me to have children he will give them to me and if he gives me no children well then there is a reason for it...
For example my friend and I were trying the same time to conceived and I was luck enough to conceive within 3 months of trying and she had no luck.. She has done the whole IUI, Clomid, thing and still nothing.. Finally she said well there is a reason why I am not getting pg and I guess this is gods way of saying my body cant handle it and wants me to adopt...
Ok so with all that said I know I will probably get negative FM and when I post nobody will respond but This is my Opinion and we are all given that right to have one.
Yes and I also know there are some people here who just dont like to see us ttc# 2or3 here but who cares.. pregnancy is a learning process and we can all learn from others experiences...
I have to say that I find some parts of your post very surprising.
I haven't seen anyone "discriminating" (for lack of a better word) again anyone who is TTC for #2 or #3 - nor have I seen anyone get mad at people who get pregnant on their first try.
Are there specific things that made you think this? I only ask because I find that very surprising! There are many people on here who are TTC for #2 or more, and I've seen nothing but great advice, support, hugs, and babydust going their way.

Deanna's post was about people who don't post on here AT ALL, and then post their BFPs.
It was NOT about people who try for 1 month then get pregnant. That happens every day! What bitter people we'd be if we let that upset us.
It's about people who have never participated in threads on the boards, have many 3 posts, then say they got a BFP. Those are more appropriate for the pregnancy board since those people aren't really sharing anything about TTC. They are sharing about being pregnant.

I totally get it if someone has not posted AT ALL, but lurks and takes info from the board and then wants to post and say, "thanks for all your help, it helped me get a BFP!" What I don't get is when people don't post AT ALL and then simply come on to say, "I got a BFP." That makes me . Those sorts of posts really belong on pregnancy. That's JMHO.

I'm going to go even further and say this: when infrequent posters or total lurkers announce their pg's on TTC I've always been.
BFP announcements on the TTC board should really be for those who have contributed and supported the others. Lurkers and infrequent posters should just announce their BFPs on Pregnancy- it's just more appropriate.
*opinion alert**** "I" don't care how much help/info you've gotten from the board- if you are a lurker or infrequent poster on TTC, its hurtful to post about your good fortune to those who barely know you and have been struggling. You'll get plenty of happy vibes and lots more information (and you won't run the risk of hurting anyones feelings) if you straight to Pregnancy where everyone can share your happiness.

THANK YOU so much for clarifying this! i did NOT post this for people that either get PG on their first try, or onto the next child.. its for people that NEVER post on here.. it just hurts a little.. WE are the ones that are answering all those questions.. and helping girls out.. and even if the lurkers just post hugs, or babydust.. or sorry they are out this month...then thats OK.. we understand that maybe you dont want to get into the other stuff...but just so we know that these girls really ARE on the board ... maybe we wouldnt get too bitter, or upset about the announcement .
and another FYI.... i got PG the first month of trying, and i was one of those posters who didnt know too much about TTC and i was just lucky enough to get PG right away...BUT i was offering all the hugs, babydust and congrats their way... so girls knew i existed and was very happy for me when i did get my BFP..

very well said!! and honestly most of us frequent posters feel this way.. if you never contribute to the board while trying...why post your BFP then? i know they might get excited and dont realize... so thats why i wrote this thread.. just to post it on the PG board so we dont have to see it.. its a touchy situation.
and i apologize for feeling this way.. or hurting anyone's feelings..
