do you get upset when.....

someone on the boards posts their BFP with only 5 or less total posts?

i dont want to sound mean or bitter... its just we all are on here maybe everyday , or close to it.. and then someone announes that.. it just hurts a little. it wouldnt be so bad if they directly went to the pregnancy board.

and i am NOT talking about new girls in general.. just ones that never introduced themselves..with like 2 posts. (just to make that clear)

and of course you are glad that they are happy and you have nothing against them..

some girls dont know our plights in this and dont realize coming on here and saying "Bam I got pregnant" is upsetting to us. Or "I just stop by to tell you that I got pregnant by accident"


I almost feel like there should be 2 boards for TTC.

1 for less than 3 months
1 for longer.

what to expect.com has a TTC after loss board, I think thats great too!
It's a little sad though.

I hear ya... You never hear from these girls so not sure if they were ever lurkers or just found out they were prego so they did research and found this site.

You gotta vent... that's what we're all here for.

I know what you mean but then I remember that I lurk much more than I post myself, so maybe these "new" posters are really long time lurkers, and you have been helping them without even knowing it.

I know what you mean and have actually been wanting to post this- but didn't want to come across as nasty/bitter.

I hate when people are like- I have never posted before but just wanted to let you know i'm preggo!!

I feel like saying- why wouldn't you just go straight to the pg board if you've never posted??

Then I feel like a loser because I actually get bothered by that.

I admit too that sometimes it makes me sad when people get PG right away off BCP or the first month trying when it isn't so easy for most of us here.

Not angry at them, but just sad and jealous that it is harder for most of us on here.

vent away! Yes it bothers me, too b/c it is evident that they were probably lurkers for a very long time, contributed nothing, and now are revelling in getting all the and and and and , and it stings b/c it seems like they didn't really have to try, while many of the girls on here have been struggling so.
Just remember that even if they were just lurkers, they probably had their own struggles and anxiety.

I can understand where you guys are coming from and I do agree that if someone never posts to come and announce it would sting/hurt the girls who have been here waiting for their BFP.

But I'm a lurker myself I don't post or contribute too much because I'm not temping, buying OPK's, Charting..etc. DH and I are more along the lines of, if it happens it happens. And to pop on every month to announce that 'I'm out' doesn't make much sense to me.

It doesn't mean that I'm not right there with you girls experiencing what your going through every month I get my BFN, or read about a MC, or the frustration and how BDing can be more of a chore etc.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that not all of us lurkers are bad.

Don't be sorry! I think everyone knows that you were just venting. There is no way anyone thinks your a bad person!!

TTC can be such a stressful time and it's great to have such a wonderful group of girls to be able to vent to and share the hard times with.

Oh Deanna, I DEFINITELY feel that way.

I feel bitter and b!tchy and guilty all at the same time.

I don't mind if someone says, "I'm a long-time lurker and we just got our BFP. Here's how... and here were my symptoms" -- I welcome those!

It's the ones who barely tried, never lurked, never posted, and suddenly announce that they're PG and then have questions about the first doctor's appointment or what to name the baby (just making this up, didn't actually happen, but you get the idea) that bother me!

I think there should be an "in between" board. Not TTC but not IF. Somewhere for people who have been TTC for a while - 6+ months or so. But on the other hand, I think that in that case, each board would get much less views/replies - so I think it makes sense for this board to have newbies and veterans alike!

To add my own vent: I've been here so long, as I'm sure others can relate, that I feel like I've done a million intro threads, answered the same questions a million times, and seen a million people come and go. Girls who started trying with me have already had their babies, and sometimes I feel "stuck" here - if that makes sense.

But I love the support and I love having somewhere to turn where people will understand my crazy use of acroymns and the heartache and heartbreak that comes with TTC.

PHEW. Vent over!

I chalk it up to that they don't know you lovely ladies, and they have a momentary lapse in judgement bc they are excited. I agree, they should go right to the PG board if announcing after only 2 posts.

yea like some girls said about being lurkers.. i can understand that... and i should give them the benefit of the doubt.. but it still bothers some of us.. its just hard..

I'm a lurker and have been for a few weeks... I'm not TTC and won't be for at least 3 years, but I got tired of reading about wedding planning and am invested in your stories. I keep checking back hoping you had some and that there will be good news!

It's amazing how much I never knew about TTC
