Difficult news
I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant, and two weeks ago I started bleeding.
The bleeding has been on and off, and at times, really really bad (like an extremely heavy period).
I actually thought I miscarried last week when I passed an enourmous clot and a lot of blood.
I've been back and forth to the OBs office constantly.
At first I wasn't too worried, because I had bleeding with my first, but not this bad.
Turns out, there is blood collecting next to the baby, and the site of implantation is tearing away from the uterus.
The OB said the good news is that the baby is still growing at a steady rate and the heart is beating.
Bad news, this may not end up being a viable pregnancy.
Even worse, if the bleeding gets worse, the OB would like to do a D&C, even if the baby still has a heartbeat (guess she's worried about hemorrhaging). She said that it is highly unlikely that the baby would survive anyway if I end up in that situation.
Everytime I go to the bathroom, I have a horrible feeling...is this it? And I think, "please no blood, please no blood".
I'm in such a tough place right now. Thank god my husband and son make things easier.
