Dear ladies of todays halloween GTG

I dont know why im explaining myself reallyt but i am going to..... especially since i had gotten som dirty looks!!

Yes i am the one who smacked there child mouth.

Yes My son sometimes has a problem with sharing but hes 2 and hes learning hes got a brother that he has to fend for himself at ALLL times! I apologize if he bullied anyone were working on it.

Now, for the mouth smacking. he turned and bit me. yes i smacked his mouth for it. He learned this lovely thing from my neice, he has not bitten another child just me out of frustration. I know some of you had a problem with it i saw it in your faces. i also know some of you will probably flame and not speak to me. thats fine. I do not judge anyones parenting styles, i did not "abuse" my son. he got punished for doing wrong, and no in this case i do not feel telling him no is sufficient.

but with all that said, thanks for a great evening!! we had fun.. the boys are now crashing at grandmas and im having a nite with my dh and ourselves!!

I wasnt there, but i can relate. My son slapped me across the face as we walked into daycare the other day. I yelled and firmly gripped his arm and said "dont you dare!!"---I got some looks...but u know what? keep on looking...no one knows your kid like u!!

I didn't even notice to be honest I get your boys confused (heck their twins ), but one of them was playing so nicely with Emma and the Fisher Price house thingy!

I didn't notice either....but I just had to tell you that Anthony was sitting next to me while we were eating pizza and he was very sweet.

I think we all undderstand, and know enough not to judge. And if you did get looks, they were probably just surprised!

Aeriell - don't spend another second thinking about it. You do what you have to do and I know that you love those little boys very much. Some lessons are harder to learn than others - so no judgment on your decision. Only you know what will work best - what each situation calls for.

obviously being in NC I was not there. BUT I have seen parents on here complaining of their children getting bit by other kids.....therefore if you are teaching yours that it's not acceptable to bit, so be it! You obviously love your kids very much and don't need to explain your parenting

I wasn't there either but, you have to do what you have to do as a parent. There are times I get very mad at my DS and yell at him and feel really guilty afterwards but, he bites, kicks my face, hits me, turns the tv on and off and he needs to know that it is not acceptable and I don't want him doing it to other kids or adults.

You are a nasty, nasty mother and you have a pattern of improper discipline.

Ok, all kidding aside. I KNOW you don't abuse your kids and would never harm them. They are so much fun but I know they are very active. You do what you can to teach them right from wrong. Every mother will, at some point, be in a position to feel that other mothers will not approve.

You are one of the best parents I know...You know how I feel about your parenting for goodness sake!!!!

They are very good boys..very very good boys. But they are only 2 and they behave like 2 year olds. Twins are in a class by themselves. They grow up differently..Ive never been able to quite figure it out. But that twin bond is something completely out of this world.

Noone knows their kids better than their mother does. You keep a tight reign on them and yet you are still able to give them their freedom to explore and learn...you dont stifle them yet you dont let them behave like animals. You have created a perfect balance for those adorable little boys.

Caden and them fight like they were brothers. But they always remember at the young age of 2 that he is younger than they are. They might push and pull but they always care not to hurt him.

You are doing a fantastic job with those boys...dont ever feel like you need to explain yourself to anyone.

Aeriell, you are a fantastic mother. I seriously have no idea how you raise twin boys. They are two and they act like they are two. They are so much fun! You do what you need to do to keep them from understanding right from wrong.

Who gave a look? I guess their children are perfect and sit with their hands folded in their lap!

No dirty looks from me, thats for sure!!! I didn't see ANYTHING wrong with it. He was trying to bite you, and you stopped him. It worked.

Trust me, I don't miss ANY behavior, or how parents handle it. There is a time for a smack or a time out. Cailen has received both.
ETA - This is coming from someone who had all types of responses to giving Cailen time out since he was 13 mts, and let's not forget the Great Strawberry Debate of 08 The ONLY thread about strawberries that had to be pulled in the history of LIF!!!

Didn't see it and wish you wouldn't apologize for being a parent. You smacked your child in the mouth, you did not neglect or beat him. YOU are his mother and that is your decision.

I had a great time watching Victoria play with Anthony and Jospeh. They were VERY well behaved
