Cheer me up
I just don't feel optimistic at all about this cycle, or any cycle, for that matter.
I can't shake this sinking feeling in my tummy that there's something really wrong with me, that no one will ever figure out what it is, and that nothing will work to get me pregnant.
I mean, after all, it's been TWO years of trying and NOTHING, not a single pregnancy. Yes, there's some hint that I had thyroid issues, endometriosis and hostile CM, but there was never any clear conclusion as to why nothing was working for the past 2 years. So why in the world do I have any reason to believe, at all, that IVF will work, where everything else has failed?
I know these are horrible thoughts, and I should be sending down more positive vibes into my belly, but after 2 years of this, it's getting very difficult

Re: Cheer me up
I do know how you feel but I keep telling myself that with IVF, they are basically bypassing everything with the exception of the implantation. You have been pregnant before, so you know you can carry a pregnancy. I do believe you just need to remain optimistic & know that yor chances are there

Re: Cheer me up
I am sorry to hear that you are feeling so down about the process and your experiences. Just try to do your best to remain positive.Maybe try to keep yourself busy to help keep your mind off of it for a bit.
I am still somewhat new here and everytime I see you post, you do nothing but pump everyone with positivity. Now you just have to do it for yourself. Believe in the process and have faith that everything will work out!

Re: Cheer me up
Trust me when I say I know what you mean. We talked about it...I can't even picture me ever getting a positive result or actually being pregnant. But lately what helps me is that I remind myself, my doctor is an expert and they will find a way..it may take some time but they will find a way.

Re: Cheer me up
I think most of us feel this way and eventually something will work for all of us. The meds make you crazy and so does the 2ww. Its hard to stay positive when you are just waiting. At least in the beg of the cycle you are doing so much you don't have time to think about what is really going on in the big picture. Keep yourself busy!!! With anything.
Good luck Beth! We will all be positive for you, maybe it will rub off. But there is no reason for you to think this wont work. How many people do IUI's and nothing and then do IVF and BAM have success!!!! You can be that person. Just stay with it.

Re: Cheer me up
I know, it's so hard, these 2 weeks. It's pure torture.
Try to stay optomistic. IVF bypasses everything you mentioned. You had a great cycle. Everything went perfect. There is no reason for you to think this didn't work!!!!

Re: Cheer me up
You know I think so many of us feel/have felt that way. It will never happen for me etc. I found positive visualization REALLY helpful. if you can do this on your own-great. But I used the Anji online CD's and it actually makes you feel like you have SOME control over what is going on(or it did me anyway) Keep doing acupuncture too and iof you do get the CD's listen while you go. I can almost guarantee you will leave there feeling more positive. The ONLY thing we have control over in these cycles iis negative thoughts-you can't control what the embies do or the Dr's or anything else, but you can control your attitude. Good luck and
Another thing i always thought about that helped me is when TTC naturally you have roughly a 25% chance every month. With your stats(which were similar to mine) you have closer top a 60% chance so that is a HUGE increase

Re: Cheer me up
I'm in my 2ww also.. I think you are a few days behind me. I'm also diagnosed with unexplained and have been trying for just over 2 years. I just keep focusing on the fact that the odds are really much better with IVF and it bypasses many of the obstacles that IUI's don't.

DH and I dealt with unexplained IF for 15 months before finally getting pg with IVF. In our case the sperm and egg just needed a formal introduction and here we are 16 weeks pregnant. Have faith that it will work!!
