Changing my ways
So, we have been TTC for 3 months now and no luck. This month was the worst. Took HPT arpund 10 DPO and BFN....then i spotted for about 7 days!!! I was hopeful that AF didn't come fully so I might still have a chance. But Saturday morning came and so did AF in a big way. I have been temping and using OPK, checking CM etc. DH feels like the whole TTC thing is a lot of pressure and doesnt like when I tell him all the details of when we "have" to BD. So, I am thinking this month we will both be oblivious. I am just going to figure out when CD 10 is and just BD a lot (about every other) for the next 10-12 days. DH likes this plan and the "no pressure." My question, do you think it will be detrimental to the overall TTC process if I am not temping and keeping track of every little detail of my body? I am just trying not to think too much about it.

Re: Changing my ways
I think you need to do whatever works for you and your DH. OPKs, charting etc are just tools, they aren't necessities. Plenty of women get pregnant by just BDing a couple of times a week for fun.
So just go and have some fun!

I agree, if doing all that stuff is stressing you guys out it's probably doing more harm then good.
Good luck!

Re: Changing my ways
people get PG every day without doing anything but
so if all the other stuff causes stress then don't do it cause the worst thing to do during TTC is stressing.

Re: Changing my ways
I think it's a great idea to change it up a bit.
Although I had 2 m/cs I got preggers so quickly both times by BDing from CD10-CD22 every other day and sometimes 2 days in a row when we felt friskier I never temped or used OPKs, but I did pay attention to my CM.
Good Luck hun, hope it works for you this month.

Re: Changing my ways
I think it's great to take a break from all the stress. Besides you already know when you basically O so you'll still have a good time frame for and extra can't hurt. Good luck!!!

Re: Changing my ways
I agree with jsut going for a lot. I tried to tell DH as little as possible about where I am in my cycle. He loves to so doesn't care how ofter we do it. The more often the better as far as he is concerned. I do tell him after the fact That I am in the 2ww.
Good Luck and have fun

Re: Changing my ways
I took a break from obsessing over my cycle and only used the OPK. we only BD'd 3 times when we felt like it as opposed to "WE HAVE TO BD NOWWWWW!"
I got my BFP 2 weeks ago!
Doesn't hurt to change things up and relax a bit. I know how frustrating it is and my DH would be very insensitive when I got upset that AF came each month. Taking it easy was just what I needed!
Go for it and have FUN!!!!

Re: Changing my ways
Its so very hard not to think of it all the time. Especiallly if you've been at this for a few months, you really get to start to know your body and can feel changes throughout the cycle. Relaxing and not stressing about it is probably the very best thing. I agree with the other girls and say just go for it. whenever you guys want to and TRY not to think so much about all the little things that are related to TTC!
