BBT temp different readings

I have a Walgreens bbt thermometer and I take my temps the same time everyday. Today I took first temp 97.45.. Retook it 97.73....then 97.6....then 97.4 and 97.58. What the heck? I try to just use the first temp but this is pretty different.

Why are you taking it so many different times? Just take it once a day and stop driving yourself crazy! The individual temps each day don't matter as much as the pattern of temps that you are going to see over time. You just have to wait to see it.

Only bc I don't think this is a good thermometer. I was suspicious so I just took it a few times to see. Shouldn't a temperature be the same if taken a few times in a row? I've read bad reviews after i bought this Walgreens thermometer. Thats all

did you take them right after each other without moving or doing anything else? that is a little weird but they will be at different temps if they are at different times by as little as five ten minutes, moving, etc..

i did them right after eachother, did not move or get up, not even sit up to retake. I keep finding that my temp readings never change much.. 97.33 seems to be a popular one.. 97.45, 97.58, 97.78. roughly between these 4 temps thats all ive really temped. Thats why i took so many temps bc Ive been curious to see why my themometer keeps having these repeat temps. I assumed all 4 or 5 readings would be the same if i didnt do anyhing different and took them within seconds of eachother. I think this thermometer is crap to be honest. I usually just take the first temp and go with it bc i know now id get all different readings. sounds crazy, right?
