Room Temp and BBT

This might be stupid BUT can having the AC on in the bedroom change your BBT? I finally put in my AC unit last night and when I woke up, the room was cold. Can that alter your waking temp? My temp didn't go down much, but since I just O'd, I want it to be going up!

Re: Room Temp and BBT

Yes, it can. Even things as subtle as sleeping one night with a blanket and the next night without one.

Of course this doesn't mean don't use the AC, just keep it consistent. Don't put it on one night and then have it off the next.

Re: Room Temp and BBT

In my experience with temping, any change in room temperature had a pretty big effect on my BBT. What you should do is make a note of it on your chart and that way you can track why your body temps are fluctuating Chat Icon

Thanks ladies! I figured it could make a subtle difference but I guess it can go either way.
