emc - you sound like me - my 1st was 3 weeks early and you'd think I'd be more ready. Life is just too busy these days. Also my fluid measured low a few weeks back (but appears ok now - have to double check next week) - that would be a sign I may go early!! I really hope to hold out to August...

Didn't even start thinking about the bag packing yet...maybe next week after my 36 week appt and see where they say I am....but then again I was not even a fingertip at my 36 week appt last time and my water broke 4 days later - 1st day of my 37th week!!

I still have a nursery to get set up and things to buy - we just got DS out of the nursery last weekend so now I have to get going on that and seeing what I have and still need.

I think I saved a hospital bag checklist...I will try to find it for you. I was told to bring a robe too...but they are not my thing so I am not doing it. Go with what you are comfortable with.
I have to check to make sure I am registered at the hospital...good one! I am meeting with a second ped soon, to make my final decision...I never thought choosing a dr would be so difficult!!!!
i am going to look for that list now!! :)

hey fellow Aug 9th mommy - officially 1 month to go!! crazy huh???

I have my 36 week appt this week as well and I asusme internals will start then I almost had on at my last appt but then they said to wait (I delivered 3 weeks early with my first). I have been having a bunch of sonos to watch my amniotic fluid level - it came back too low at the 32 week growth sono but last one was ok. I have another this week as well to double check - if all goes well - they said they will stop sonos.

Have to say doing fine in the heat - but luckily I am only out for short periods with my son playing - after an hour or two we are usually back inside in ac anyway.

I have tons of lists made but tons to do still. I have to get going in case baby #2 is an early bird like baby #1.

Hey Girls!! Coming down to the wire finally!! Last night we washed all of the baby clothes, and put them away again. I just realized I need to clear a cabinet out so that I can put the baby bottles in there(I am not BFing). We still have to put together the bassinet, and stroller and put the carseat in(but DH is a police officer so I am not worried about that one). I am getting my car cleaned out this weekend so that I will have a nice clean car for the baby when he/she comes! I had some false labor contractions this past week so I am in full baby mode now. I feel like there is tons to do still, but I am not sure what it is. I have a million lists going which can be a little stressful. How are all of you doing????

Re: August Mommies

Hi all!
Doing well here. I'm 34 weeks. Last week I had some false labor pains and they pretty much checked me all over - everything is fine but they discovered I have a short cervix. Don't really know what that means, maybe I'll go early maybe I won't. I would love to go about 2 weeks early (Aug. 15 if possible). There's more help around for me then...

Good luck to all us mommies!!

Re: August Mommies

i have my 37 wk appt tomorrow. i packed my bag this week and made sure i have everything. My house is still in need of a good cleaning which i hope to do tomorrow after the DR. I've been walking for about 45 minutes every night to try to get things moving, sex and wine are this weekend :)
I got a cold this week, yesterday was worse than today, but my head and ears are still really congested. Hopefully it will pass soon.
Im physically very ready to have this baby. i think there will always be "things to do" so im ready for him whenever he wants to come out.

I too have my 37week appointment tomorrow. My bag is "somewhat" packed, I plan to get on this today since I won't be doing anything!!!

At my last appointment I was told I was 1cm dilated so let's see if there was any progression. I am soooooooooo ready for her to come out. I just really want my body back!!! LOL!

I am terrified...but there's no turning back now! 20 days left!!

Hi girls- next month is it!!

I have my c-section scheduled for 8/20.

I have even THOUGHT about packing anything and probably won't do it until the weekend before.

I am sweating like a beast lately and can't stand it and insomnia is starting. Crampiness is happening more and more often and hurts sometimes.

I can't believe that in less than 5 weeks I will be holding my daughter! Chat Icon It has gone so fast, thanks to DS who keeps me super busy all the time.

Re: August Mommies

make that thre of us for having a 37 week appt tomorrow. Your girls have to update me on your status after the visit. I was just about 2cm last week.having lots of contractions - Monday nights were even that uncomfy/crampy ones - so I am watching everything waiting. Still have a to do list but working on it....I am hoping to make it to august 1st - we shall see what the dr says tomorrow...if I followed my first pregnancy - I would be going into labor tomorrow evening...first day of my 37th week - crazy to think we are that close now!

Re: August Mommies

I had my 37 week 4 day appointment yesterday. I am starting to have contractions but no dialation or effacement yet. I can walk and talk through the contractions but you can see my belly harden and release. It has been hapening for the past two days now. I hope it will help me make some progress.

Re: August Mommies

I'll be officially 38 weeks tomorrow. Two days ago, not much progression. Doctor said I'm still closed but probably 50% effaced. Guess that's better than nothing. Due date is Aug. 2nd. Can't wait!!!

I have had some more contractions today, but still feeling good, and I have an appt next week. They will double check me then, and if all goes well, hopefully we will be on time. Although, they said that I could go at any time now due to the severe contractions I had last week. I am happy to be at 37 weeks which they told me is full term so I am ready to meet Chat Icon or Chat Icon
The suspense is killing me now though!!!
