Are you ONLY using dreft or are you going to just use regular detergent?

I watched the Laugh and Learn dvd and the lady said that all the detergents are the same and theres no reason to only stick to dreft. Thoughts...

we use All or Purex Free and Clear HE (for front loading washers).

i love the smell of Dreft but it's absolutely wayyyy too expensive for us. plus we wash DS's clothes with ours, and i don't know if i want my stuff smelling like Dreft

I'm very sensitive to fragrances and dyes so we'll be using a Tide Free (scent/dye free) detergent. If people get us dreft, we'll use it but we aren't going to buy it ourselves.

I don't use fabric softener normally but if i do I use Ultra Downy Free & Sensitive.

i bought dreft today b/c DH keeps yapping about it. at $11+ a bottle, i'll be switching eventually to something free and clear.

never used dreft and never will. it's not fragrance free, which is what NB detergent should be. plus the price is ridiculous.

i use any free and clear (dye AND scent free!) detergent that is on sale. after the first month with DS i started using regular detergent and will with DD as well. that way i know they don't have any sensitivities to the detergent.

My DS is 2 and I still only use Dreft - I've tried even All free and clear or Tide Free ad clear and he ends up breaking out in a rash - he has very sensitive skin and for some reason Dreft is all that works - so I would definitely only use Dreft on my newborn's clothes!

I bought Dreft and started washing DD's bedding and clothes. I LOVE THE SMELL! It smells like a baby. I don't care what it costs, I'm not switching. I like it that much.

I'm on the fence....At Sam's they have the BIG Dreft for the same price as the big Tide so maybe, but at half the price All Free and Clear is more then likely the way we'll go. Tide/Dreft $21.99 All Free and Clear @12.99

for the first few weeks i will use all free and clear but after that i will be back to arm & hammer... i am not a stickler with that and only used it in the beginning with ds...

we are only going to use Dreft. We did the same with DS.

We used dreft for the first year and beyond. Only becasue we found the huge bottles on sale in Target.

Once we were out of those we switched to regular detergent.

we used Method HE for DS...now I see they make an HE for Dreft but I think I'll stick with Method...like the product.

We finally started using regular detergent for DS when he was 2 but that was only because we had so much of the Method

For the baby's clothes I'll stick with Dreft. I love the smell

But now I've started washing DD's in regular Tide, so I might switch us all to Tide Free when everything else runs out.

I'm a sucker for great smelling laundry, so I like the scented ones!

It's funny, I swore I wasn't going to use Dreft, but we rec'd a bottle at our shower. Well, that was it - we fell in love when we washed 's clothes. We recently went to BJ's & found a larger bottle then the largest at BRU for much cheaper too - same price as Tide, etc. It made our decision easy to stick with it.

So far we're sticking with dreft. I got some at my shower and as a PP said I found the big bottle at BJ's, so as long as I can afford it I'll stick with it!

I still only use Dreft with Jack - only because I am really a creature of habit.

I might get one bottle, but probably I will use a scent and dye free detergent that is not Dreft-I can't see spending that kind of money. Babies smell sweet enough on their own!

I bought one bottle of dreft to wash the cothes for the firt time. Once they baby start sptting up/drooling/pooping/peeing on the clothes I am going to use reg detergent. Dreft is not good on stains...

I only use Dreft for my DS's clothes. I tried All free & clear and he broke out in rash...he has sensitive skin like me, so even though Dreft is costly, it's better than a rash! I'll use for as long as we can!

my mom swears that this is the only thing we can wash the baby's clothes in but it has a strong fragrance to me, so i dont see the point. I will probably use one of the free and clear like tide or all

We never used Dreft. We figured we'd start out with the detergent that we use for our own clothes, and if DC didn't have a reaction, we could save a ton of time and money by using the cheaper stuff and washing it with our clothes. If they DID have a reaction, then we would switch to something else. Why spend extra money on something not needed?

I probably will use a free and clear detergent since that's what I use for us because I have sensitive skin.
