When did you start using regular detergent?
How old was your DC when you stopped using Dreft.

I never used Dreft, I have used All Free and Clear and I heard that it has less perfume smell to it

Ryan is almost 8 months and we still use it - I actually just picked up the Target version of it since it's so $$. But, a lot of people just use a Free & Clear version of a regular detergent. Since he spends a lot of time in our bed, and we use our detergent for that - and he's never had a problem, I'm sure he's fine with whatever we use.
You could always just throw a couple of items in your load and test it out...

i never used dreft. i hate the smell of it.
i use arm & hammer or all free and clear--whatever is on sale. the A&H is usually $1.99.
DS is 4.5 months and i started using regular detergent as well as the free and clear at about 2 months since he doesn't have sensitive skin. i also use a touch of fabric softener and/or dryer sheets because i can't stand how scratchy his clothes were without it.

Julia I used Dreft it till she was 2, I will probably stop using it on DS clothes when he turns 1, I love the smell of it!!
ETA: Both my kids have eczema so I didn't want to use anything else that could bother there skin.

I recently stopped using Dreft and switched to free and clear. DS is 14 months. The dr told us to switch back to dreft because of DS's excema. I bought a huge jug at costco. It lasts a long time.

I don't remember with DD. I only used on bottle. We use free and clear detergent so I don't see the need for special baby detergent.

used dreft til around 15 lbs and then went to All free and clear...thats what I still use now at 2.5 yrs old.

We used All Free and Clear (or whatever brand F&C that is on sale) since DS was born.
But we used it mainly b/c my dog is allergic to most detergents
