Anyone else paranoid like me (re: windows open)
I'm just way too paranoid/neurotic to sleep with our windows open. I didn't like doing it before DD, and I am especially nervous doing it now that she's here.
Drives DH nuts. We have to run the CAC much earlier than he'd like b/c I make him shut the windows before bed-- I even check them after he says he closed them all 
The only window I allow to stay open is the bathroom window, b/c it's tiny and no one could ever fit in it (and it's really high up too).
I'm the same when we leave the house, I hate leaving windows open when we're not home too, for the same reasons.

I'd sleep with fans or simply put the CAC on a little earlier.

We sleep with our windows open on the second floor. I would never leave main level windows open while we sleep.

we keep our windows closed, because unfortunately the master bedroom is on the 1st floor. I miss sleeping with the windows open.

Yup me! The windows on the second level in the front of the house can stay open, but nothing that is over the garage or in the back since I'm too paranoid about the low roof access.

I have windows that have little "stops" that pop out at a certain height. The windows can be left open but not opened any more then where the stops are. You could look into that.

We feel the same exact way. And I have dogs that will bark, yet it's still not safe IMO to leave the windows open (even with window locks). We don't even leave the second floor windows open, maybe in our room with the locks on if we are in there, but we won't be doing this in DDs room. Like you, we may leave a small higher up second floor window.

Us too. We live in a split so all the bedrooms are upstairs.

What are you scared of? Someone breaking in or C trying to open it?
I am a lunatic about all the windows on our first floor being locked. Tonight I will keep the windows on the top floor open bc it's too hot and I'm not ready for the CAC just yet

Yes, I'm paranoid too. In fact, I almost never open the window in her room because I don't want to forget to close it. And nobody could get to any of our windows without a ladder anyway, but I'm still a nut about it.

Same here. Even though we do have an alarm and we can keep our windows open some with it on. It still makes me paranoid.

ahhh gotcha!
We just turned the CAC on now - it's so hot and my hormones are all off whack that I would pass out otherwise!

We don't sleep with windows open.
A very good friend was attacked, in her home, at night when we were kids. The intruder tried coming through her window and also tried pulling her out the window-which is why no beds are allowed in front of the windows either. Thank goodness her mom heard her yell.
I'll spare you the rest of the details, but it was a first floor bedroom, they had an alarm that should have worked with the windows open but for some reason didn't.
I know we can't live in fear of things like this but I just can't get past what might have happened, especially when you hear crazy stories of kids being abducted from their own beds.

I live in a High Ranch so I leave the windows open. When I lived on the 1st fl- I was absolutely beyond paranoid. Especially since last year SI had the "Ninja Burgler" issue. lol
