The apartment we currently live in has windows that you turn a handle and they open to however you like a little, or all the way. (not sure of the name). So our landlord tells us..that they had tenants before who in the summertime had "no class" because they would open their windows all the way, instead of just a little. Chat Icon I'm sorry..but when it's "hot" does it matter how you open your windows? I never knew that was considered "not classy" Chat Icon Especially since they pay for electricity. Now I'm scared to open the balcony door all the way because it may be considered "unclassy"

Anyone??

I have never heard of anyone saying anything about "class" when it comes to windows aside from my mom telling me I had no class at 16 when I would prance through the house with my underwear on and the windows open. So Chat Icon I don't get it.

Never considered fully open windows to be "not classy".

It does irk me, however, to see windows that aren't uniform when open - like one window is higher than the next. Chat Icon

As long as you don't have a naked butt pointing out the window class really has nothing to do with them.Chat Icon

They're usually called "casement windows". Never heard the thing about "class" referring to opening windows... Chat Icon
We have casement windows in our house. I guess my class varies depending on how hot it is!

I mean they are sweet..but we just thought that was so CRAZY to say that. I hope it wasn't an ethnic slam...because that would really hurt. Especially since we take care of the house for them (garbage, recycling etc) sorting of the mail, cleaning hallsway since they don't live there anymore, and only gave us a $50 discount ont he RENT!
