any ladies here pregnant with friends or relatives

if so did it change your relationship for better or worse? any competitive feelings?

My Best Friend and I are due three weeks apart. She has a daughter already. No competitive feelings at all. We talk about our first tri ickiness and stuff. I love it!!!

None of my close friends, but alot of DH's friend's wives are pregnant, so I've been relying on them for advice and to relate

My sister and I are due three days apart...I have no competitive feelings, but I think she does...she's always comparing....

My BFF is trying to get pregnant right now. So hopefully we will be able to go through this together.

DH's best friend's wife is due the same day as me. We've always been friends, but I guess talk a lot more now so we can update eachother on how we're doing.

Me and my sister were Due 5 days apart I ended up having a M/C and it was rough for me. For that reason Im glad this time Im not PG with anyone I know well.

eta- Also one of DH's close friends wife is PG and He actually said to mutal friends, not to tell DH as he (we) will end up PG too and he will have to share this time ( he is SOO competitive!) Well it must have been awful for him cause we WERE PG at the time and with Twins.

My SIL recently found out she's pregnant so she's about 4 months behind me. We are both so excited for eachother! It's fun to talk about all the baby stuff with her and knowing we'll have kids (they'll be cousins) who will get to grow up together is awesome.

My SIL - DH sister - is due 3 months before me. Originally I was due 3 weeks before her but had a miscarriage.
It's nice now though - she is having her 2nd and since she has grown larger then she did with her first, she gave me a ton of clothes she can't wear anymore. Now I wonder though, once the baby is born, will she want the stuff back as she gets smaller?

It's nice though to have someone to sort of share it with.

I don't think it's changed our relationship though. We get along great and I don't think there is any competetiveness with it.

quite a few of my friends are..it is nice to have people to talk to about all the weird symptoms etc...and we are all spread out but it will still be nice to have kids around the same age...

my SIL just found out that she is pregnant. i personally am thrilled for her, especially since they struggled with infertility. so no competitive feelings on my end whatsoever!

i worry that some weird feelings may arise on her end if she is carrying a boy (since we are having a girl and she has made her preference more than clear). but i don't want to jump to conclusions either! i'm hoping we will both just be happy for one another

I'm due 3 months after my SIl. She is having her 1st and this is my 4th. She WANTED me to be pg with her and I said Not a chance...
Surprise, it happened and she was thrilled.

I've got 3 friends that are pregnant with me right now.

It's great! We all compare notes and it's interesting to see how different our experiences are!

My SIL is due 3 weeks after me. I'm thrilled that DD will have a cousin so close in age to her but I feel she's a little competitive.
When we announced our pregnancy, everyone was happy but she said "exactly how long have you been trying, b/c I didn't know you were trying". I told her it was the 1st time and it took. Her response was " You shouldn't brag b/c I've been trying for 7mths and it's not happening". So finally, the next month she announces she is pregnant. I was glad and asked when. She said "3 weeks after you, but I;ll probably go first b/c I'm planning my csection date"
What took the cake was when we told everyone it was a girl, she said I guess I'll be the one stuck w/ having a boy since you are having a girl now.

Throughout my pregnancy I have been PG with my 3 best friends and two close friends--its been great--3 of them have had their babies, so I am next!!! Can't wait for all of us to have kids the same age :)

one of my really good friends is pg. with twins I LOVE being preggo with her!!

DH has 3 other friends who are also preg., I'm friends with them also and love swapping stories.

My stepsister is due in 2 days and I don't really think anything has changed...other than the fact that we talk on the phone more and I kind of check with her to make sure that what I'm feeling is normal...

One of my favorite coworkers and I have been preg together both times and it has been great to share tips, feelings etc and now see our boys play together. In 2 months we will have little girls together, too!

I have been very luck yot have preg friends around me both times and my SIL the first time. It's such a nice sense of community and sharing.

However, my one time closest friend and I have boys 6 months apart and motherhood strained the friendship. We literally handled every single thing differently, that shouldn;t be bad, but somehow it became divisisve and now we rarely talk or have play dates I miss the closeness from before we had kids!

My SIL just had a baby 2 weeks ago. I thought it was great we were PG together and that our kids will be so close in age.

My SIL (brothers's wife) is due 6 weeks before me. We're so excited to be going through this together!

I've also got 2 coworkers that I'm good friends with that are due the same week as me! It's been fun so far!

My friend and I are due 2 weeks apart...we kind of don't speak as much on the phone not sure why, we also live on opposite sides of Long Island but it is still no excuse. I wish we saw each other more and spoke we use to be the best of friends! But we keep each other updated on the baby and how we are feeling and speak here and there, mostly on the computer though.

Im pregnant with a friend... no competitive feelings at all! So happy for her and her husband and I love having someone to go through this with and talk about it!!
