An insignificant, but sad working mom moment...
Yesterday DH brought the boys to the outlets. He let the boys go on the silly little rides that they have outside of the stores. I know it's stupid, but I am just so sad that I missed it. It was their first time going on one of those rides and I missed it. I know this is soooo stupid, but it's the little things like this that make me hate working.

I was sad when they told me DD went peepee on the potty.
It was her first time.
I said to myself, "why are you sad about pee!" but I was
I think it was more about the coincidental perfect timing because it hasnt happened since. So I'm not really counting it!

I can SOOO relate. DD's nanny sends me pics of her every day which I love. But when I see her doing something she's never done with me (like riding the same rides you're speaking of, or eating a WHOLE apple by herself) I ache inside. I'm off on Fridays and I try to squeeze so much fun into that one day of just the two of us so she remembers how fun mommy is lol!

I completely agree!!! My MIL texted me when DD rolled over for the first time. I deleted that text right away and guess what - later that night WHEN I WAS HOME, DD rolled over for the very first time!!!

well, there will be plenty of rides on all the vacations and parks you will go to....thanks to your job :)
Also, your LOs are not going to remember this ride....but they sure will remember all the things they are able to do thanks to your working....have a nice clean house, nice clothes, educations in a good school, good food, extras, etc.

I am pretty much a full time SAHM who works just a few hours a week; I missed my DS' first steps, but a customer at my job made me feel better by saying pretty much the same thing you did!!

Great saying!!!! Thanks everyone. MIL posted pics of it on FB today which made me sad/ mad, but I know I'll get to see many other (more important) firsts.
