Re: all i do is worry

I'll be 26 weeks on Saturday and I'm still a nervous wreck. I will say that I've finally calmed down a bit since hitting 25 weeks. Not that I'd ever want my babies to be born this early, but I feel some comfort in knowing they are viable at this point. I also feel them kicking constantly which helps put my mind at ease. I know I won't really feel okay until they are born and doctor says they are healthy.

Re: all i do is worry

*raises hand* I do the same thing. "I'll feel better when I see a heartbeat," "I'll feel better once the 1st trimester is over," "I'll feel better once I have my 16 week appointment, and hear the hb for the first time in 4 weeks." Now it's, "I'll feel better once my 20 week sonogram is okay."

There's always going to be something for us to worry about, as expectant mommies and once we are parents. The best thing I can do to focus on the positive is plan what I want to register for. I love looking at baby stuff and reading Baby Bargains, and it makes it all feel more real.

I am the same way. I keep setting these milestones in my head when I will "stop worrying".Chat Icon Yeah right!

I am almost 19 weeks and I still don't believe I am really having a baby!! Maybe after the 20 week sonogram, I will stop worrying Chat Icon

Raise hand**** I fall into this as well. I worry that after all this work To get here 17wks i need to peek here and there. Going from weekly apps to monthly was a hard transition especially when I feel so connected to seeing my uterus empty then showing a tiny heartbeat. I'm an addict. I love seeing that heartbeat and those little legs and arms moving.

i read a TIME article last year that mothers who are neurotic while pregnant have more colicky and neurotic babies. now you can worry about that too Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

no but seriously i agree that the 24w mark helped me. once i knew that baby was viable it all became instantly more real. (although i recently read an article about a 22w preemie that weighed 9oz at birth.. she's in college now!!) at that point i stopped being so nervous, and guess what, i was in the hospital 8w later and gave birth a week after that...

what did it teach me? nervous or not, whats going to happen will happen. being in fear of that doesn't change the outcome at all so you can be worried and not enjoy the pregnancy that took so long to attain, or you can try to have faith that you will go home with a baby. its hard, but its your choice.

yes, I am the same way!! I am counting the days till I hit 12 weeks where they say your risk of MC goes down a lot, but even after then I know I will always worry! Every time I go to the bathroom I always check the TP too!

The worrying settled down for me at 24 weeks when I knew we hit viability. I still worry all the time, now its changed to worrying about delivery, if I will be a neurotic Mom too etc..I guess its true, the worrying just never ends Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

still feeling this way. 40 weeks today.

I have an entire IVF cycle worth of meds that we want to donate but I cant get myself to do it. I feel like I am going to jinx something or something will happen. As soon as the baby comes, anything that is still good, I will be donating.

I still worry and I am 37 weeks tomorrow. I will tell you that once I started to feel the baby move more consistently I started to calm down a bit. But I am so supersticious that did not want to have any shower gifts at my house, I had nothing done until about a few days ago. I was so afraid to wash any clothes, blankets, etc. because I thought I would be jinxing myself.

I keep thinking about donating mine, but I'm afraid to also! At the very least, I should donate the gonal, and menopur - I have 15 frosties, so it's not like I'm stimming anytime soon!

Um, raising hand here. 18 weeks and I hold my breath every time I go to Dr. I swear I am trained to pick out the HB right away.

Maybe when I get to viability or maybe when she is married....ugh
