A baby is a blessing no matter if it's your
1st, 4th or 10th !!!!
I was around a bunch of people (not family but friends of family) and apparently they had a lot to say and were full of opinions on my 4th pregnancy. They thought they were being funny but they were extremely insulting.
Instead of congratulating me, I was told that my kids are too close together and to take it easy. They will be 3 under 3.
But who says that???? Thinking it to yourself and saying it out loud are 2 different things.
A simple congratulations would have been just fine. My child is a blessing. ALL my children are blessings. I guess after you have a certain amount of kids some people stop saying congrats!
Then they kept saying... "oh hopefully it's a boy-you need to have a boy."
Umm...no I don't. what I want and desire is a healthy baby. I don't care if it's a boy or a girl.
Then I got- "If it's another girl, you're going to have 3 sweet 16's back to back, following college tuition. You better close shop after this."
Umm once again, This is my life! I love my family. I love the fact that my house is the loudest house I know. I am married and the last time I checked I was NOT on the system so what is it your business how many kids we have.
I was so upset and still am. I wish I would have told them to F-off but all I did was laugh it off. So thanks for letting me get this out and vent.
Just to add,- I'm totally closing shop but who the heck are they to tell me what to do!!!!!!!

You are a GREAT mom and your house is soooooooo full of love!! Any child is work, but duh we know that already!! I think the more you have the more organized you get because you have to be!!
So tell them to kiss your azz!!!! They are just jealous!!!:)
Congrats again I am soooooo excited for you!!!

my sister has 5 kids and had them real close together. i can't believe what some people would say to her! the rudest things! her MIL even told her that "people who have more than 3 children are just trying to prove something..."
it's unbelievable.
you are SO blessed!! don't let anyone bring such a joyous thing down!

People are such idiots. I am one of 4, 3 really close together - as a teenager mom took me to her gyno, and she and his secretary starting chatting about the "old" days when moms just had baby after baby, and how happy my mother was when the pill came out... well the nurse was kind of a witch and snottily said:
"Well there's always ABSTINENCE you know " so smuuuuuugly.
My Irish born mother looked and her and just said "With MY Husband? You must be joking!"
Well I just about died right there on the spot and turned on my Reebok heel and got the heck out of there
They're IDIOTS to say that to you, I hope you're just letting it roll off your back!!

Ugh!! I really want to smack those people for you! I wish you did tell them to fuuck off!! It's none of my business but I think it is wonderful that you are having your fourth child! I wish I could have a 1/2 dozen, myself!  Congratulations!!

I'm child #6. I still get sarcastic comments that my parents needed to get a TV in the bedroom. My mother is a baby machine who didn't know when to stop. I can go on, but they get downright rude.

Every child is a blessing and who's business it of anyone to judge how many children you have and when you are having them! This is your family! Enjoy every minute!
Some people just don't think before they speak!

Why some people think they have the right to comment kills me! Their comments were extremely rude.
You are a great mom....whether you have 1 or 4 or 10, as you put it. You love your children unconditionally and will love either a boy or a girl equally. You just keep on believing in yourself, girl!

Your family sounds exactly like my family thats why HONESTLY I would take it with a grain of salt. Heres the thing, they didnt start thinking they were funny yesterday. They have probably always had smart azzzz comments which is why you shouldnt internalize it. For your own sake you should do one of 2 things....laugh it off or when they say it let them know how inappropriate they are being. You let them hurt you and there is no reason for that. Many of the things you mention I hear all the time said to preggo women. Do i think its right??? depends on how you feel. People like to go over the top with their BS... If you are overwhemed by this STOP it immediately. YOU and your family should be most important.
