4-5 month olds check in...
DD had her 4 month appointment today. She is 12 lbs, 12 oz (born at only 5 lbs!) and 24 in. long. Ped said her head is only in the 20th% but isn't concerned (wish he didn't tell me though b/c now i am! lol)
Anyway.... DD takes 4 bottles a day and we just got the ok to start a few tbspns of cereal twice a day. Still no water.
She is laughing (sometimes and only when provoked), cooing, smiling, will grab objects and has great head control. I already have her in the regular stroller seat and she uses the jumperoo. She doesn't reach for too many objects yet and she has rolled over only once-belly to back.
She has no nap schedule- i let her nap when she wants, where she wants, and only wake her up if it's been 4+ hours since her last meal. She sttn 8-7, but last night woke up at midnight and didn't go back to bed
I took her to the pool for the first time last week and she seemed to enjoy it she is a happy baby..... SO....
What are your dc's stats? Milestones? What's DC eating? Anything else you want to share?

Re: 4-5 month olds check in...
DS and DD are 4.5 months old. Last week DS was 13lbs 2 oz and DD was 12lbs 10 oz. (from 4lbs 11oz).
We seem to have a good schedule going on right now. They are still eating every 3 hours but once I add a second meal of cereal I am going to have to adjust and do 4 hours spaces..there is just not enough time in the day! DS is a little monster eater...he screams when it is DDs turn for a couple of spoonfuls of cereal. I am trying to teach him to wait his turn I am going to try veggies/fruit soon
They are both smiling, cooing, grabbing for things and trying to put everything in their mouths. They move around the playmat on their backs. Both can roll from belly to back and DS has rolled from back to belly once.
They are sleeping from about 7:15-7:30 to about 6 or 7. DD likes to wake up at 5 am and talk and play in her crib but she falls back to sleep on her own. We had to do a little CIO for nap times and it seems to be working. They nap at the same time but never for the same amount of time!

Re: 4-5 month olds check in...
DS is 15.5lbs and 25 inches long. He's STTN from 9:30pm - 7:30am. We started fruit last week but hes not really taking to it well. I keep trying though. He's obsessed with his hands and putting them and everything else in his mouth. He is just starting to swat at toys. I got him the door way jumper thing but all he wants to do it chew on it He rolled over yesterday from back to belly
ETA: He got his first virus this week
Had to share a pic!

Re: 4-5 month olds check in...
DD is 4.5 months. At her 4 mo appt, she was 12.8 lbs and 24.5 inches long. She's STTN from 8:30-7. I haven't started her on food yet.
She rolls from her back to her belly and used to roll from her belly to her back but doesn't anymore She occassionally laughs (not as often as I'd like to hear it though...), smiles and coos and has her hands/toys in her mouth all the time now.

Re: 4-5 month olds check in...
DD is 5 months (and a week) and is about 15lbs. She is STTN (7-7) and usually takes 3 smaller naps (but seems to be dropping the 3rd and taking 2 longer naps, finally!) She is eating oatmeal, fruit and we started veggies this week. She takes about 28 oz (4-5 bottles.) She is rolling all over her crib (both ways) but will roll herself into the corner and get stuck! Not so fun at 2 am!!
She has really changed a lot in the past month--really grasping things and jumping non-stop in her jumperoo. She is giggling all the time (especially at our dog!) We've been working on sitting but no luck so far!

Re: 4-5 month olds check in...
My DS is 4.5 months and is 28 inches long and 18 pounds, 6 ounces. He looks 9 months old! He just go his 2 bottom teeth! I told the doctor last week hes been super cranky because I think he's teething & she said I doubt it. She told me to try soy formula. I'm glad I didn't listen to her. He hasnt rolled over yet, but he moves a lot. He did a 180 turn in his crib. His head was where his feet were in the morning. Everything goes in his mouth & he tries to pull himself up when he's in a reclined position. He started cereal last week & fruit this week. He loves it & has no problem eating. He sleeps through the night, but rarely naps. He coos, babbles & giggles. He's changed so much this month. I feel like he's growing up way too fast!

Re: 4-5 month olds check in...
DD will be 5 months on the 7th. I suspect she's nearing 18lbs. She was 16.15 and 26 inches at 4 months.
We started solids this week-veggies. She had butternut squash and now we're on to sweet potato. She takes a very little amount. Yesterday she started grabbing the spoon and putting it in her mouth, but I think she might just want to chew on the spoon.
She's been STTN, usually 8-8:30 till 7, but this week she doesn't want to go to bed. It's taking me over an hour to get her to fall asleep! I hope this is a phase that ends quickly. I love 8:00 bed time!
She smiles constantly, laughs--she gets hysterical when watching our dog. She grabs EVERYTHING in front of her, and is really trying hard to sit up. She looks like she's doing baby pilates!
