TV or No TV in the bedroom?
We have 2 - 27" tv's and one 19" tv. I would like to put the 19" in the bedroom. I like to watch tv at night sometimes, nice and comfy in bed, but DH does not. What do you guys think? Do you already have one in your bedroom?

Hi Chris!! We have one in the bedroom, and to be honest, we barely watch it. We usually watch tv togethr, only time we are on separate tv's is when we completely want to watch different things - which usually isn't the case.
We will put it on sometimes in bed at night, but not that much.

I used to not be able to sleep if I didn't have a TV on in the bedroom!!! When we first moved out on our own I had to learn to adapt b/c we only had 1 TV, could not afford another one and it went in the LR.
I am SO happy we don't have one in the bedroom. I think for me personally it made me stay up even later at night.. and like Oprah once said " A TV has no place in a bedroom. When your in the bedroom you should be busy doing other things" Like sleeping

I love the TV in our bedroom. I enjoy going in their right before bed and relaxing (usually my only time to relax-lol!). It is also good if my dh or I don't want to watch what the other one is watching. It is nice to get warm in the winter and cool with the air conditioning in the summer and just relax!

Vanessa is one of those people that must leave the TV on to sleep.
Now she is trying to talk me into spending some of my extra DJ money to get another 50" plasma and hang it on the bedroom wall.
Talk about PIMP.

i like to watch the news sometimes, but dh complains that i fall asleep with the tv on, and often forget to put the timer on... (this was when we had the tv in our bedroom in the apt)
so now i'm kinda on the fence about whether or not to put one back in the bedroom. after all, maxine's got a point... (and oprah too)....bedrooms are for sleeping. among other things.

Vanessa never activates the sleep function... but right now I dont care cause I have a beater 27" TV in there.
I told her there is no way I buy a new TV unless she learns how to do this. She says she would quickly learn if we upgraded.

We have one it our bedroom and we RARELY watch it. We usually watch TV downstairs while sitting on the couch, so it's kind of a waste for us.

Not only do we have a tv, we also have a DVD player and a VCR. But that's because DH and I both had fairly new ones when we met. When we got our house we figured that we may as well use them.
I have read over and over that you're not supposed to have a tv in the bedroom for a plethora of reasons, but I love to snuggle with DH on Sunday mornings and watch the news, especially in the winter. And when I am sick, I love that I can rest in bed and watch DVDs. I can't get as comfortable on our couch.

We have a tv in the bedroom too. I like to lay in bed and watch nice and comfy!
We sometimes have different tastes in shows (he doesnt like reality) so, im mostly in the bedroom.

we do.
DH is a "flipper" and really don't like watching 200 channels during a commercial break.
he watches a ton of news shows, which i don't really care for, so I go in the bedroom and watch what i like.
we just have different TV tastes, and having 2 really saved the marriage!!!

we have one..mainly for when we want to watch different things, which is OFTEN...or at night to watch the news...and when we are sick. We always have had one, and I dont think we could go without it.

We have a 36" in the bedroom and we are sooo bad with it. Fall asleep with it on constantly and that doesn't allow for truly restful sleep. But we love watching TV in bed so it's staying.

We don't, and I like it that way. This way we just talk (or whatever ) before we go to sleep. We live in an apartment, and the living room is right next to the BR so if I can't sleep, I just go sit on the couch and watch TV

We do not nor will we ever have TV in the bedroom. That is our quiet place. We also do not want our children to have TV's in their bedrooms so we will have to set the example.

I need to have the TV in there. I will be the first to admit that I LOVE watching TV and have it on whenever I am home. PLus I need to fall asleep with it on. DH thinks I'm nuts!

We have one in our bedroom. Sometimes I like to watch TV before going to bed. But we usually watch it in the morning before work to see the weather and traffic times.
