Milk transition

Did you begin before a year or wait until they are one. I have heard people start the transition before and some wait. My ds will be one on the 18th and just don't know when to begin

Milk transition

I started at 11 months at pedi's recommendation. Did it one ounce at a time, so 7 oz formula with 1 oz WCM. Did that for two days then moved the WCM up an ounce. Did that till we were about 5 oz WCM and 3 oz formula. Then went full WCM.

Re: Milk transition

We plan on starting around 11.5 months, which is in 2 weeks. We'll start by replacing an ounce or 2 in his formula and see how he does.

Milk transition

I waited for peds ok since dd has a hard time digesting milk. He wanted to make sure it wasn't an allergy. It was not an allergy but she couldn't handle that much dairy so shes on Almond Milk.

Milk transition

Ped said we can start now - he turned 1 on the 19th.
However I am concerned how he will tolerate and he's going through another not eating faze. I am not comfortable with the idea yet - so we are doing the next stage in enfamil -which is enfagrow

Re: Milk transition

I think I'm going to start now. He has been eating cheese and yogurt since about 5 months so I think he will be fine. Thanks ladies
