OPK's and PCOS--NEW QUESTION ADDED
Anyone have any luck? The RE has me testing since he thought I was about to surge, 2 days ago. Still nada on the clear blue easy. Never had luck in the past. Anyone with PCOS find them accurate/helpful? I' d rather not have to go for more b/w and sono but if no surge by Sat have to go back in. Blah
ETA: New question: how does EWCM play in to all of this? Still no surge this AM, but copious amounts of EWCM...I plan to DTD tonight, tomorrow and Monday morning. Should that cover the bases? How soon after the EWCM should O happen? You'd think I should know this after 100 years of infertility

Are you doing a medicated cycle? The only time I got a positive opk was when I took clomid.
ETA and that's I actually ovulated that cycle! All other cycles were anovulatory.

i think it depends on your PCOS issues. for me, i have high LH so i use OPKs more to judge the level of my LH then to "predict" ovulation. i sort of have an idea of the pattern so i can tell when an OPK line is due to high LH and when it's really a surge (it gets truly dark for a surge and really not so dark but still close to + for high LH levels). ive noticed that for me i might get +OPKs for a week, and generally i do ovulate sometime during that week, but my LH doesn't necessarily drop right away its not really a foolproof predictor for me.
anyway it sounds like thats the opposite of your problem so i dont know how much help i am

No, a natural cycle. I had sonos and b/w and had an 18mm on Tues but E2 wasn't @ surge level. I told him I wasn't too keen on OPKs given my history but guess he was confident we'd get a surge. Guess I will gibe it the next 2 days and see what happens.

Yeah I don't have high LH but my cycles have been about 6 weeks and this is only going into week 3, so I am thinking, despite the follie, I'd still be a good week away from ovulation. Ah, never gets any easier!!
