Is anyone buying there own Hospital Gown?
I've been strongly advised not to since it is going to get ruined anyway so I have not bought one.

Honestly, don't waste money on that... It will get ruined and the hospital gowns are really doable for the amount of time you're actually in them. Put that money in the piggy bank instead

Agree. Labor is messy! And after labor you can wear your own pjs/clothes. No need for a hospital gown of my own.

Re: Is anyone buying there own Hospital Gown?
in nursing school I had a rotation in the maternity unit; a pt brought her own hospital gown. The nurse commented that its a waste & only gets ruined and full of blood/bodily fluids; but if it makes you more comfortable & dont mind the $$ go for it.

I was thinking about it... Not on my must have list. I'll see how we do with the other necessities.
If you want one and can - go for it! It's your prerogative.

I had no idea this was an option! That said, no, I won't be buying my own, even now that I know.

I didn't buy one, but didn't wear theirs either-- for both kids, I labored in my sweats and a tank top, then took off the sweats to deliver. Much more comfy in my own clothes, and you feel like less of a "patient", kwim? I think anything you can do to make yourself feel more comfortable while laboring and delivering is worth it!

Nah I'm just going to use what they give me for labor and then hopefully be in my maternity yoga pants and tank top ASAP

Crashing...I love the idea! I saw a woman wear it once on A Baby Story! If it makes you happy, I say go for it!! ETA: I am not sure if hospitals allow it, your best bet is to go on a tour & ask!

I'm still trying to figure out the answer to this.
Unless the one you buy has the snaps up top do they can get to IV lines etc they may not let you. I had a csection so I was all hooked up
