J-Lo's hospital gown x-post from celebrity
This is a x-post from the celebrity board. Personally I don't think $65 is that bad for a nice clean gown. Also as someone who has been through labor before I don't remember bleeding on my gown and I even wound up with a c-section. What do you guys think? Would you spend $65 on a hospital gown now or if you had J-Lo money? Do you think she is crazy for doing this?

if she genuinely DID buy it, I think it's just a form of elitism.... like she can't wear a gown that was worn before by 'common folk'....

It looks like something that I bought when I delivered DS but I bought mine from Gembro for $4.99. Seriously!!! It didn't get ruined - I actually still have it. But, if I were J-Lo that would be my Jembro (like) nighty.

See that's my feeling on it as well. If I had $65 to blow I would get something like that so that I could be more comfortable. To me it's kind of like bringing your own pillow when you deliver. You do it to be more comfortable.
I don't think it's really about being elite. Honestly do any of us really want to wear one of those dingy hospital gowns that a dozen people have worn before us? If she spent like $1,000 on it I would say that's crazy, but to her 65 buks is like us buying something at the 99 cent store.

I don't think buying a new or cute hospital gown is that absurd. $65 isn't that outrageous of a price. Well, it is when it probably only cost $3 to manufacture, but that's the case with most of the products we purchase. 
I don't think it's an issue of elitism. I think either a company sent it to her or she caught a glimpse of it somewhere and thought "hey, that's cute!"

I don't think it's absurd - but I also don't think it's really necessary for a "hospital gown." But hey, if it makes her feel more comfortable while in the hospital... why not? I would do the same too!

Well she has the money so i dont think she is crazy. But i think she could have gotten that gown from like motherhoodmaternity for so much cheaper.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the thread. $65 is nothing to her...why not buy it? I would rather wear that then one of the nasty hospital gowns that keep opening and are falling apart half the time.
If hospital gowns were nice, new and fresh - it might be a different story...but any hospital gown I've seen has been pretty nasty.

That's adorable. I would spend $65 on it, to feel pretty at my ugliest.
There's no way she paid a dime for it, though- she probably wasn't even looking for one. She got sent a bunch of freebies, chose one to confirm to wear, and that company gets free publicity.
