Has anyone ever had an infant NPO for an extended amount of time?
My 2 month old is scheduled for a procedure Thursday morning. She is directed clear liquids 12am-4am and then NPO (nothing by mouth), which will last until 4 hours after the procedure (at least 1pm).
In addition to freaking out about the danger of the procedure, and the possible results, I have no idea how to get her through this
Any experiences and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

my preemie son had surgery and ended up being NPO for more than 24 hours. They have sugar water in the hospital that helped alot because we dipped his pacifier in it
