What is your monthly electric bill?
And how big is your house if you don't mind?
We signed up for balanced billing when we bought the house last year and it keeps going up every few months - we are up to $188 for an 1100 sq foot 2 bedroom house.
I use cfls and use power strips regularly. Any other tips for saving electricity?

we pay about $200 with balanced billing. we have central air. 1200sqft upstairs and a basement with one vent.

We have a 3 bedroom Colonial... about 1800 square feet.

Around $300 in the summer.
Not sure of the square footage. Fully dormered cape w/ a basement apartment. Our tenant leaves his AC on constantly.

Right now, $222 balanced 1300 sq ft townhouse... AC is only on at night really... heat pump in winter is what kills us... we have all electric... oh and we need to have it replaced and maybe we'll get some better energy savings since its olddd!

We live in a 2300 sq ft house. Our electric bill is usually under $95. We have everything on power strips and lots of CFL bulbs. We also have a gas oven and dryer. We unplug most things when they are not being used.

$163 with balanced billing. - "L" Ranch - about 1850sq ft. 4 a/c's in the summertime

We have a 1500 sq. ft. cape, and our bills are about $65 in the winter, and $120 in the summer.
But when we lived in a 900 sq. ft. apartment before this, with only energy-saving bulbs and brand new appliances, our bill was over $100 in the winter and $200 in the summer. So either our landlord (who lived downstairs) was stealing electricity from us, or there's just no rhyme or reason to these bills!

I have a 2800 square foot splanch and ours is $303 a month. We have CAC and we also have a pool/spa that the filter runs for 12 hours a day thru electricity.

Our LIPA is $93/month.
1700 sq ft house.
We are conservative and aren't huge AC people (we keep it on like 74 at night; 76 by day)
We try to be conscious of shutting off lights, tvs, etc.
