Todays question is....

When you get your BFP, who will be the first person you tell besides DH, and how long will you wait to tell that person?

if i get a bfp this time the first person i will let is my mom... her birthday on V-Day... i think i will take a pic of the test and put it in her bday card....

actually idk, i may tell one of my work friends before anyone in family or super-close friends. cuz i know she won't tell anyone else lol.

I don't know. We are SUPER early in the process but I have been thinking about it. I will probably get all my talking out here first and it might make it easier to keep quiet from everyone else. My parents live about 3 hours away and I would hate to tell them on the phone...so we might make a surprise trip down. The last time I was down there my mom (who has tons of grandkids already) said she missed the sounds of little ones so I know she will be REALLY happy and I would love to see that in person.

my Grandma...she is 91 and lives OOS. I want her to know ASAP. I have no relationship w/my mother (her daughter) or the rest of the family, so it doesnt matter if she tells them. Then I will let all of you know. After that, I'm pretty sure I wont tell one of my close friends till I am about 8 weeks....dont think I can wait any longer than that b/c she is my wine/sushi buddy so she will know something is going on. After that, we will tell the rest of family & friends once we hit 12 wks.

DH was with me when I POAS. I immediately told my grandma, mom & sister...And then I told you ladies right after that.

After celebrating with DH I'll probably post on here! LOL just because I'm in hiding and want to wait to tell family.

Not sharing right away with my mom will be TORTURE but I'll want to wait at least 8 weeks

I will probably post on here!! If I wasn't in hiding I wouldn't though! Otherwise, it will be IL's or my mom, whichever we can see first.

Hmm. Good question. I hadn't though about it but after reading your question I realized I don't know. When I got my BFP last summer I told my DH then a friend. But, based on her lack of support since the m/c, I won't tell her until I'm at 12 weeks this time around. So, I don't really know. But, it's something I hope to have to figure out soon!!

I've been waiting till I get to that time to really decide when I will tell. I'm not sure I'll be able to wait or if I'll even want to wait. That being said, I would only consider telling my parents, sister, IL's and SIL's. I'm not sure how many of them could really keep a secret though!

I have no idea!!! If I don't tell my mom first and she finds out, she will never let me hear the end of it. I would want to tell my parents and IL's together in person but don't think that would be possible. It would be easiest to tell my IL's since we live upstairs from them but like I said, if they found out before my mom, hell would break loose!

I would like to keep it between us until the 2nd trimester but knowing me and my big mouth, not sure how that'll go!

I think we will try to wait until the first Dr's appointment and then tell our parents and siblings (that may not happen though). Then we will tell close friends and family. I will probably have to tell a few people at work b/c I have a very physical job, I will need them to help me hide it for a few weeks or else the whole world will find out real quick.

My parents. I called them at 6 in the morning when I got my BFP with DS I barely lasted an hour (I tested at 5am).

My sister, prob. as soon as I get my BFP Then I will tell my mom and the rest of my family.
