A little hurt...
We found out the sex on Monday. I'm not close to my father, but I thought I should tell him. I called his office and left a message with the secretary that we found out the sex. He was out of the office at a meeting. He didn't call back Monday, didn't call back yesterday, and hasn't called back today. This will be his first grandchild. My parents are divorced.
Anyway, I can't help but feel a little hurt/angry. You think when you got a message that your DD found out the sex of your grandchild that you'd maybe return the call.

Maybe the secretary didn't get the message to him?? Hopefully that is the case....maybe try and give him another call....Sorry you are feeling hurt!

I'd love to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he's the President of a corporation and his secretaries are really on the ball.

I hear ya ... I hadn't spoken to my dad in over a year (after he didn't return my call from Christmas 2007 and completed ignored my 40th birthday) but I called him to tell him our news and he was so blah  (Afterwards my grandmother called to say she heard the news from him and "he's really excited but you know him" OH WELL THEN THAT'S OKAY!!
Anyway, I emailed him the ultrascreen pics and have not heard from him ... nothing.
And same thing, first (and probably only) grandchild.
