Would you be a little hurt?

Ok, I will try to make a long story a little shorter....

My best friend and I have been friends since we were 5 (a very loonnggg time). We have been through everything together. But anyway, her Uncle works for a cruise line and her and her husband always go on cruises. we have asked them to go away with us in the past but they always say it's cheaper for them to go on a cruise. In the beginning of the summer I found a really good deal for a cruise and asked them to go with us. i told them please let us know right away b/c the deal expires. Well, it ended.

About a week or so ago they asked if we would go on a cruise with them and we said it depends on two things:

1- it has to be after August 17th b/c I teach summer school.

2- how scott's dad is doing (he is in the hospital).

Well last night we were over for dinner and while hanging out in the kitchen i saw on he calendar that they are going on a cruise August 19th. i didn't say anything and neither did she. I think they are waiting to the last minute to say anything.

Is it silly for me to be hurt? chances are we wouldn't be able to go, but I thought it would be nice if she asked since they originally asked us to. Sorry so long.

sometimes its hard to plan trips together..just b/c those other dates were good for u doesnt mean it was good for them and vice versa, it kinda sucks u cant plan something together but i think think they were purposely leaving u out so i wouldnt b too upset about it..this is y i never plan grp trips

Well, the date is fine. It's that Scott's dad is in the hospital. I would rather had them tell us they were going a way and say we realize you can't go now or something. Not pretend like they never asked us to go.

Maybe they went ahead and booked the trip and were hoping that you could join them. It is after the 17th.

I would have been hurt too because they should have at least have asked and then you could say no if the dates dont work.

No, we were originally planning it and would have to go through her uncle. She hasn't mentioned the vacation. I don't know when they booked it.

I would be hurt if she booked the trip without telling me being that had asked DH & I to go. I would causually ask her about it again & see what she says.

We love them to death. But we were evening talking about going somewhere like the Caroliners or something if it didn't work out and then they booked it on their own.

I would be a little hurt also. From personal experience planning trips with friends can sometimes be SO hard and frustrating.
