Freedom of speech is the right to speak freely without government interference. Private employers can fire or discipline someone for making offensive comments.
I agree with MrsS.
Honestly, people need to read up on what the First Amendment ACTUALLY entails. This misconception comes up every time something like that is discussed here.

I stopped listening to that show a long time ago. They are just too annoying so early in the morning - all of them.
I miss Steve and Maria! I listened to them for years!!!
Me too!!! I barely listen to BLI anymore because he is so annoying! I can't stand his voice! it is like nails on a chalkboard... and when he starts screaming "OOOOOOOOOOOOO" I can't take it!!!!! BLECH!!! I don't even like to listen later on because sometimes he's on commercials... it's just SO GRATING on my nerves!
I actually put them on my clock radio because instead of rolling over and going back to sleep, I get up right away so I can turn it off!!!

I'm glad the suspended him.
I can't stand him, and like many of you I stopped listening to BLI for that same reason. Whenever I hear his stupid voice I CRINGE!!!!! They should fire him!

i CANT STAND his voice- i completely stopped listening because of him.
absolutely terrible.
as for the comment- he was out of line.
maybe now that he is suspended I can actually listen to the show

As of tomorrow randy will be back on wbli, Today he made a heartfelt apology.... I seriously think his voice the way he talks is all an act.Yes he can be annoying 'BUT' randy does make the show.

randy makes the show, all right... he makes it terrible!! ugh i just don't understand how someone like that can get a job... it may be an act but i can't believe there are people out there that enjoy listening to him and dana!!
