What would you do to this window?

We have a HUGE window in the front of our house. Right now we just have sheers on there, but we want to put something up that gives us more privacy, but we don't want to obstruct the light that comes into the room.

I do need to mention that the previous owners mutilated the sides of the windows, so it's not going to be as simple as putting up blinds.

Any suggestions for little old me??

What if you put a double rod, and layer your curtains, with the sheers being the under layer, and the top decorative layer being able to be drawn closed on rings?

I have a large window like that too. During the day I keep the sheers closed....so light comes in but you cant see in from outside. At night, we have honeycomb shades that we pull down for extra privacy.

Such as this (pottery barn pic)? If you cannot put blinds or shades, it limits you alot.

I like the above posters idea!!!!

You can pull back the curtains when you want too.......and have privacy when you want!

That's what we did...double rods with sheers underneath.
