i asked the same thing a while ago and thanks to everyones advice i gave it to her around 3.5 months...greatest thing i could have done bc it really helps DD
i was concerned so i got the aiden & anais ones that are thin

When did you give your dc a lovey in the crib?
I think I have dd 1 around 4 months I want to give dd2 one b/c she loves to hold blankets to sleep but they wind up over her face so I'm still scared. She's only 4 months

I have always had 2 or 3 little lovies in the corners of cribs & eventually they each picked one & now totally attached.

5.5 mons, when we took her pacifier away. We gave her a small taggy blanket and she still uses it today at 2

Probably about 6 months, but he snuggled with his lovey during naps since he was about 3 months.

5.5 months, when I went back to work and wanted her to become attached to something she could hang on to. She was kind of "eh" about it for a few months, but by the time she was 1, she loved it.
She's 2 and is still obsessed.

Dd falls asleep with one in each hand! I like that they are thin and slightly more "breathable" if they were to go by her face

this is exactly my ds!
i'm gonna wait until 6 months to put it in full time. Last night, she needed something to hold, I gave her a blanket and within 5 mins it was over her face. I was standing there so i took it out after she was sleeping.
I will check before bed and make sure its not over face then move it to where it is close but not over her face. I think at 6 months when she move more i will feel more comfortable

He got his lovey around 5 months for naps. He's 6 months old now and had a rough night last night so I gave it to him overnight for the first time last night. I'm not worried about him having it, just never thought he needed it.

My DD covers her face all the time with them at night. I had to take it away from her at night. She only gets them during her naps where I can make sure she isn't covering her face.

7 months is when DS started getting attached to it so we would let him sleep with it. He still to this day at 3 sleeps with it everynight
