we started at about 4.5 months Chat Icon he really took to it immediately! he loves to have something in his hands while he falls asleep. he will rub it on his face - we just have to watch that he doesnt fall asleep with it over his face (loves to do that Chat Icon )

DS is 3 months. Is that too young? His hands are always moving as he tries to fall asleep, I thought maybe this would help him settle down.

cant hurt to try! just keep an eye on him Chat Icon

if you are worried about it, you can always take it out once he's asleep!

I don't this is too young and I think that is around the time DS started sleeping with one - maybe even earlier. It definitely helps soothe him when he goes to sleep.

I would let him fall asleep with it and then when he is out cold, take it away. We sometimes let Chris have it, more so for naps though.

Not a stupid question! I googled it when I first read it on here last month or so! Not sure why it's called a lovey but this is what I'm talking about

Re: A lovey in the crib?

My pediatrician wrote me a "script" for a lovey. She drew it out and told me to start at 2 months. I'm not sure if its coincidence, but DS has been going to sleep better since I started.

BTW the picture is going in the scrapbook. I love that she is do unconventional.
