spinoff to toddler pillow: how did you know they were ready?
DS is 18 months but doesn't seem to complain about not having a pillow. how did you know when to give it to them?

I *think* Emmy is ready because every night she crumples up her blanket and uses it for a pillow, or lays on her lovey like a pillow.

my DD used to pile up her blankets like a pillow and then ask for another blankie to cover her.

because if she laid flat she would toss and turn and cry or wake up shortly after falling asleep.
If I put a pillow under her (even a fairly thin one) she slept solid.
So ta-da she got her own pillow.
Now if she wants more height she places her two praying hands under her cheek and its adorable! LOL
