We always said we wanted at least two. I thought maybe I'd want three.
After we had DD, he was so traumatized by her colic and milk allergy that he said he wanted no more. I was devastated and we fought for about a year about it. I contemplated leaving him if he didn't want anymore for real because I knew I would never feel complete without having another child and would end up resenting him. He told me to just give him time. I gave him time and finally three years had passed since my DD was an infant and the trauma of it wore off on him and we got pregnant with our second child.
Now that he's here, we've both agreed with 99% certainty that we are done, but that we wouldn't do anything permanent as far as birth control because we're only 31 and if we decided in a few years that we changed our minds, we wanted to be able to.
It was really tough when we didn't agree. I really thought for a few months that I might have to leave him over the whole issue.
Someone on here told me their husband was the same way until he saw a friend's newborn. My husband saw what a dream my nephew was and that changed his mind. And low and behold, our son is a complete dream compared to our daughter when she was a baby.

I wanted two, DH desperatelywants 3. we have 2 boys and I might have considered going for a 3rd bc DH wants it so badly, but my complications w/ 2nd c section would make having a third kind of tough

ive always wanted 2. DH is fine with 1...hes an only child. but i told him if he wants sex then he'll have 2.

same except DH is not an only child.

we actually talked about this last night and i got sad he is fine with 1 which makes me feel like something about DS made him feel this way. we always talked about 2 but now he wants 1?

and DS is a DREAM baby

Pre mariage conversation went:

DH: I want 2 kids max
Me: OK works for me.

dh was fine with our one.
I really pushed for #2.

he agreed and out of respect for his wishes, we are done.

we always said at least 3, maybe 4. after i found out my #2 was twins I thought for sue we were done....now that they are 1 I feel that "itch" for another but for a lot of reasons, we are probably done at 3. the biggest one being finances....I am a SAHM and as they get older and want to play sports, go on vacations etc. I don't ever want to not be able to because of finances.

we wanted 3 the day we got married. I had many miscarriages before our first. We were blessed with one. We decided to try for a second and didn't get our hopes up. We ended up with twins the second time. We now have 3, just like we wanted.

We wanted 2, pre-kids. We are pretty happy with one- but I think if I were to change my mind (very unlikely)and want another, DH would be on board pretty easily. We both recognize the reasons why 1 is probably best for us.

We both come from a large family (5 children on his side and 5 on mine), so we always thought that we could not imagine growing up and not having a sibling, BUT we also realized that we enjoy our lifestyle and want to be able to give DS everything we can, so we may be sticking to just him.

Times are very different now then they were back then or even 5 years ago and the cost of raising a child is insane.

We are both in agreement, at least for now (DS is only 3 months)

We both didn't care if we ever had any, then we decided on 1.

Then we had DD and I immediately wanted another one. He didn't, but in time he came around and we had DS.

We're done.

we both always said 2 pre - kids.
now that we have 2, we are still saying we are done. but i am on the fence now.

I always wanted to 2, being pg again I know I'm done..DH is now on me about how if this one is another DD he wants to try for a 3rd I told him if we hire a surrogate bc I'm done

I always wanted 3. Now that I have 2, lately I have been feeling done although 6 months ago I felt differently. I go back and forth. Financially, emotionally and for saniTy purposes I'm good with 2 right now. I'm only 30 so I'm not in a huge rush.

We are happy with one. However, we will have more eventually. I'm in no rush. Things have been hectic lately and I just finished my Masters so I needed to do "me" before I had more. I know my daughter will be a great big sister so it's a matter of time...

Dh always said he'd love 4. I said 2-3, I have fertility issues so its a lot of work to get pregnant. Since we have dd he's seen how much work pregnancy and parenting is and now says 3 would be our max .

In high school we said 5

We got pregnant with twins 3 months after we were married, and got pregnant again when they were 9 months old.

We still want 2 more but are waiting a little bit so we enjoy the boys

i have 2 - a dd and ds..i would love a 3rd but i feel complete with 2 healthy, happy kids so we pretty much agree we are done with 2

We never really decided...

We waited over 4 years of being married to have our first child. I think we are both very happy and comfortable with just one, but I'm pretty sure we'll give her a sibling. Then down then line, depending on our housing situation, job situation, child disposition situation we'll see if we want to go with number 3. We both come from families of 2 kids, so I'm pretty sure he'd be ready to close up shop after the second, but I don't really know what I want!

So, we're undecided!

I want 3 and DH is on board with whatever I want. We have a DD and #2 is on the way. I already feel like I will want another a couple years after #2 but we'll see how we feel then. I always wanted a big family but I really dont like being pregnant so I think the most I can handle is 3.

I wanted 4. My husband wants 2. We're settling on 3.

He still says 2 with a smile and says i have to steal it to get #3. Like that will be hard.

I always wanted one... dh wanted 2 or 3.
After dd I could have actually had another.... he is more then satisfied with one!

We always agreed on 3 children. We have a DD now and are trying for number 2.. but if I have a boy, we decided one of each sex would be good enough and may not have a third, we will see :)
