Thanks, you will be there before you know it!
I did day 1 of week 9 today. I ran the full 5k and did it in 32 minutes flat! The weather was perfect and it felt great. I really can't believe it. When I first started, I was struggling to run for 90 seconds!

Re: The un-official Couch to 5K thread
This morning I finally finished the Couch to 5k!!! I ran it in 31min 48sec today. I can't believe how quick the nine weeks went, and I really can't believe that I'm able to run this far! I signed up for my first race at the end of June. Congrats to those of you who are almost finished and good luck to those who are just starting!

Okay, I did week 2 workouts 1 and 2 yesterday and today. Not too bad. But next week will be hard because it's 3 minutes straight of running!

Wow that is GREAT! I did day 3 of week 3 today! On to week 4! I am so glad I started this!!!
What do plan to do now that you finished this program? What kind of running schedule do you plan on doing? I think when I finish the C25K I will just continue running every other day & try to work towards a 10K

Keep running. I came across a half-marathon plan that seems reasonable but I think I will try that next year. A 10K is one of my plans. But there is also the one hour runner plan. I will try to get that info/link. It is basically a plan to get you running for an hour.
I added it to the first post.

this is what i plan on doing, the one hour runner program. The first three weeks is just running for 30 minutes, so I think I'll just run 5k's for those three weeks, then i'll start doing it by the minutes. I'm happy to have another program to follow!

Re: The un-official Couch to 5K thread
I personally need a little help getting re-motivated, so if you ladies could offer any advice, I'd appreciate it. I was up to Day 2 of Week 7, then my dad went in the hospital last week and I was in a bit of a funk over it and didn't jog at ALL....the whole week. He finally got out today, but even the thought of jogging right now makes me cringe. I feel so disappointed in myself and that just seems to be making it even worse. Any pointers to get myself raring and ready to go again?

DON'T look at this like it's the end. Don't get down on yourself like you failed. Tomorrow, get out for a walk. See where it takes you. Maybe just repeat week 6 as a way of getting back into the goove. But the biggest thing is not to let this squash how far you've come. Life happens.
I think the ONE problem with a 'program' is that you feel like you have to adhere to it strictly or else. You have to make it adjust to your life, not make your life adjust to it. It is hard to get back into the groove once you fall out of it. But the longer you take to get back in, the harder it gets. But it's not a contest. You're not getting a grade. There's no date to finish. Just look at it like a journey and you have your whole life to take it.

Thank you SO much. I think my main issue is that I'm too hard on myself. There is a 5K in three weeks that I planned on running, but due to missing a week of the program, I know I most likely won't be ready for it now. Just because I can't run that particular race doesn't mean this is the end at all. There are plenty of other 5Ks this summer.
I just get so frustrated, because I don't necessarily fail my goals when it comes to diet and exercise, but I tend to just fall short. Halfway through Week 7 is a far and I have definitely come a long way. I just have to look at it in the way that you pointed out...I haven't failed. It's only the end if I allow myself to give up on it and I'm not going to let that happen. Thank you again

I plan on doing the same as above. Running a few 5K's and then doing the hour long program and then hopefully a 10K!
