I am starting week 5 day one on Sunday and looking forward to challenging myself more this weekend. HOpe i can do it!

You will do awesome!!! Chat Icon

Thank you soo soo much! I started week 5 yesterday and had no problems whatsoever with it. I cannot believe how much endurance I have built in 5 weeks. I am really very proud of myself considering before this I was never able to run at all! Thanks for all your help ladies!

Thats great!!
I started week 5 today and definitely noticed such an improvement in my endurance as well. The last five minutes was easier than the first!

Yes I think the last 5 minutes was totally easier. Any particular race you are looking to do! I would love to have someone else there as wel! I am not sure yet which 5K i want to do I guess i will see how I am doing in the next few weeks!

Not sure what race to do yet. There are two in Long Beach over the summer (July & August) that I'd like to do, but want to do one (or more) before then.
Anyone have any recommendations??

Today I did day 2 of week 5, woo hoo!

I did day 3 of week 5 this morning and I didn't stop once!!! I'm so happy, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep it up, but I was fine. It was also the first time that I ran with dh's ipod, and that helped a lot! Chat Icon

Re: The un-official Couch to 5K thread

Well I did day 3 of week 5 on Saturday and also did not stop once. It was amazing! I think I was more nervous that I would not be able to do the entire 20 minutes without stopping but I did and then after I did the 20 minutes I really could have kept running but didn't. I just wanted to follow the exact plan!

I was so happy!

Hi ladies! You all have inspired me to try running again. I used to run in hs and college but haven't in awhile. Everytime I try to get back into it, I end up giving up. I'm hoping the couch to 5k will help me do it this time.

I did week one for the first time today and it wasn't that bad. I downloaded the podcast to my ipod which helped.

Thats great! Before I started I read what week 5 was, and thought there's no way i'll be able to do that. But the program is great and it definitely gets easier as the weeks go on. Chat Icon

I know! I totally thought that there was no way I would be able to last that long! Today i did day 1 of week 7, and although i had a cramp most of the time, i kept going, and again it got easier towards the end. I can't believe we're almost done with the program!Chat Icon
