Do you still put a bib on your toddler for meals?

I do. She is a pretty neat eater, but I still hate getting food on her clothes.

I just bought a cute "I Play" brand one the other day that says I Love Muffins, which is what prompted the question Chat Icon

Funny you should bring this up...
We just started again bc miss independence wants to do EVERYTHING herself. There is no way I will let her ruin her clothes. So back to the bibs again!Chat Icon

Re: Do you still put a bib on your toddler for meals?

I do, DD is almost 18 months and she is a pretty sloppy eater, especially now that she is getting used to using a spoon and spork.

When Lucas has yogurt or pastina...anything messy where he wants to eat on his own (aka feed his clothes) he wears a bib but otherwise no...like with chicken nuggets or grilled cheese he goes bib-free.

Yes. He started eating on his own and while he is not too messy, some food doen't make it in the mouth.

Re: Do you still put a bib on your toddler for meals?

No, we stopped a LONG time ago. Since I usually layer a white onesie under everything...her top shirt will always come off that way only the white onesie gets stained...and even when they do, they're always worn underneath so no one ever sees how bad they get stained! Chat Icon Chat Icon

But when we go out to dinner....I'll use one of those disposable bibs Chat Icon

Yeah, I do if it's something messy, or if she's got a cute outfit on.

No, but not for my lack of trying. She just rips them off. If she's eating something messy then her shirt comes off.

I do but I tend to be a neat freak. It doesn't bother DD at all.

Yes. I still do because I really hate when she gets stuff on her clothes.

Re: Do you still put a bib on your toddler for meals?

yes. I am happy to say he really doesn't have any stained clothes at all.

And, we are a big time rice family, usually 2 times a day. So much easier rinsing rice off a bib rather then picking it off his shirt.

he's not bothered by them at all.

We would love to for applesauce and yogurt but she pulls them off anyway.

Re: Do you still put a bib on your toddler for meals?

I haven't in ages. She used to wear them CONSTANTLY because of the drooling so once we were over that, I basically kissed them all goodbye.

She could definitely use them of course -- but now she rips them off if I even try Chat Icon
