i think it is the day before you o cause if you do it the day of o, you only have like 12 hours or something before the egg drops..
i am not sure really, i am still learning!

Yeah, I think this is right. Before you O is best. Also the sperm can live inside the woman for up to 5 days (probably more like 3 in reality) so it's better to have them there waiting to fertilize the egg!

my OB told me it is better to have the sperm waiting for the egg, so that would be before O. She told us to BD the day before O, the day I get a +OPK & then 2 days after, just to cover all basis. I guess only time will tell if we are doing it right or not!

Well basically your +OPK would be the day before or two days before O.
So if you BD 2-3 days before O there is a good chance you would get pregnant.
If you're trying.. you'd want to BD 2 days before O, day before O, day of O, and next day just to be safe.

Wasn't trying the first time and am NOT trying now - the thing is, since I really have no clue about this stuff, I may be the only one posting questions on this board because I'm TNTC  Trying NOT to conceive....

for some reason I thought you might be trying NOT to, that's why I worded it the way I did
Your best best is to abstain during the whole week you think you're ovulating just to be safe!

You should BD a few days leading up to O, the day of O, and then a day or 2 after. Cover your bases is what I say!
