I guess people are confused by the fact that we live among people who support a lying, abusive, churlish, manipulative man who wants to be president but can't even contain himself. He treated Hillary with such disrespect even if you don't like her you have to admit he was disgusting. And look if you're okay with that kind of abuse being thrown at a woman who is qualified and polished and experienced then I believe you are part of the problem we have in America - where hatred runs so deep for someone that you really have no concrete basis for. Sexism and misogyny is the name of this election. Every Trump supporter has bandied about the most baseless accusations and refused to see facts. He handed her the election and there's nothing he can do now except blame microphones for his failures.

But I always like to think that somewhere maybe an open minded person would read that and realize how damaging that attitude is to all women and perhaps change their thinking and/or language.

Really. My 25 yo unmarried coworker had the same sentiments about not having respect for Hillary because she stayed. I was shocked that a young educated woman on LI would think like that. I just thought to myself she needs to live a little and learn to not judge other women for their choices. Its no different from SAHM vs WAFH moms.
Btw Trumps kids are from 3 different mothers, should we judge?

I know the definition of a feminist. But to take it to another level- a strong woman should hold her ground and not tolerate crap- so therefore Hillary should not be president.
