Chat Icon Again, we differ in views but I love how you state how you feel. So I applaud you. You don't insult anyone.

I especially know that Huma is a liberal but I have WAY more respect for her than HRC. She kicked that weiner to the curb. Good for her! She has my respect. I know everyone's marriage is different and people forgive what they can forgive, fine. Doesn't mean I agree with them. Or have to for that matter.

I know we differ. I also have some Trump people in my family who are just fed up. So I sort of got that glimpse into the "other side."

In my heart, I feel most don't like Trump. They don't share the same ideals or views or agree with him. But they are just done and willing to have anyone else in office. People who have suffered with unemployment or the healthcare nonsense. I can see where a huge drastic shift would provide some with hope.

I haven't been unemployed or deal with ****** healthcare insurance. But those I talk to who have been impacted are in dire shape. So while I'm sitting here loving that gays are allowed to marry under Obama's presidency, some can't even afford to go to the doctor or lost their job. Which isn't the fault of any one person, but these shifts we have had. So I try to be understanding and take myself out of my own shoes to try to "get it."

ITA. I fully understand peoples' frustrations with society, the economy, policies, etc. They are looking for "something different". Unfortunately, based on all of the research I've done, and everything I've learned about DT, he isn't "something different". He's been deeply entrenched in the political arena his entire life, even longer than HRC. He just hasn't been elected to office.
His policies have been vetted by experts across the political spectrum, and most of them agree that they will either not get passed through Congress, will harm the American people, and/or will only help him and the 1%.

Sometimes "something different" isn't always a good thing.... People really want "something better", and DT is the exact opposite of that, IMO.

Bill has been accused of sexual harassment numerous times. Forget the Monica thing - but sexual harassment? When there's smoke, there's fire. So I do judge her for staying with him and clouds my view of her declaring she's a feminist.

I also can't get the "superpredator" crap out of my head.

Signed,

A registered dem who is liberal but not blind to her ******** (or trump's)

That's fair enough. At least you see the reason on why I am baffled she stayed with him.

I know the definition of a feminist. But to take it to another level- a strong woman should hold her ground and not tolerate crap- so therefore Hillary should not be president.

Furthermore, the "ladies" on the other side often ridicule us conservatives on here and take it to another level- quite frankly, it's childish. I refuse to even argue with you guys anymore because you guys act like idiots, plain and simple. At least Eating My Veggies states her opinions eloquently and isn't ridiculing anyone, I respect what she has to say- not you guys.

And someone said she didn't like what I said about the 2nd amendment in the past and thinks I am a racist. Whatever, think whatever. You don't know me. But excuse me for my support for law enforcement and not being blind to the shootings in Chicago which are WAY up there in the thousands.... i understand some cases were wrong.... But now we are going off topic. I'm just done. Vote for whoever, I don't care. The end.

I would hope that you both are intelligent enough to realize that HRC in all likelihood stayed with Bill NOT because she "loves him to death" or "forgives everything he did". She stayed because in all honestly, he was a tool for her, a means for her to further her OWN political career. NOT every marriage is about love and rainbows, people marry and stay married for other reasons aside from love.

Oh I know that is why she stayed with him. And again, she's a snake then. She uses people to get where she needs to go. I detest women like that. Real strong women do it all on their own.

You really need to stop. You sound so ridiculous. Staying with a man to help your own career doesn't make you a "snake". Are you so naive to think that in the grown up world that we all live in there aren't MANY people who take advantage of connections, people, situations, etc to help further themselves??? C'mon, be real.

For the record, real strong women are SMART to enough to use EVERY advantage around them to help themselves get where there want to be. There is really no shame in that unless ALL you're doing in sleeping your way to the top which let's be honest, HRC was NOT doing.

Whatever. You think I sound ridiculous and I think you sound ridiculous. Leave it at that.

Yet you refuse to explain how you can support a man who openly cheats on his wife, has a child with a mistress and you see no reason to find that behavior despicable??? That boggles my mind. When you hold a woman ( who DID NOT cheat on her spouse) to a higher standard than a man who DID CHEAT - that's the definition of sexist. How can you possibly fail to see the irony in your position?

I totally agree.

This reminds me of a tweet I read (Jordan Stratton):

I know at least 40 or so very conservative people (friends and work). They have always voted Republican. They are ALL voting for HRC.

They are scared. They are scared of needless, feckless wars, and their children being drafted. They are scared of Trump's lack of knowledge, lack of specifics, and basic lack of knowledge of how things work and what he will versus won't be able to do as president.

This was never about what kind of people the candidates are; it's about what kind of leaders they'll be.

Tom Friedman's op ed in the Times & Mark Cuban's comments about Trump's essential lack of a desire to learn, prepare, etc. are very eye-opening.

For me and for almost everyone I know, this is not about these people's personal lives. It's not even about politics any more. It's downright scary.

Not to mention I can't respect a woman who is still with her husband after all the cheating. And she claims to be a feminist?

This deplorable statement is representative not only of a lack of understanding of what feminism means but also of the pervasive sexism that still runs through society in 2016 - the kind of sexism that blames women for their husband's transgressions and bases one's respect for women on their relationship decisions.

Really. My 25 yo unmarried coworker had the same sentiments about not having respect for Hillary because she stayed. I was shocked that a young educated woman on LI would think like that. I just thought to myself she needs to live a little and learn to not judge other women for their choices. Its no different from SAHM vs WAFH moms.

Btw Trumps kids are from 3 different mothers, should we judge?

On this topic:

http://uproxx.com/news/rudy-giuliani-hillary-clinton-too-stupid/
“Donald Trump is a feminist! I’m absolutely sure. I’ve known Donald Trump for 28 years. Women in his organization are paid the same as men. The president of his company is a woman. He is the first person to ever put a woman in charge of a construction company in New York. Donald Trump treats people fairly, and Donald Trump is an honest person, and he was too reserved and too gentlemanly at the end to say what I would have said about Hillary Clinton’s attack on him for not being a feminist.”

“I sure would have talked about what she did to Monica Lewinsky. What that woman, standing there, did to Monica Lewinsky. Trying to paint her as an insane young woman when, in fact, Monica Lewinsky was an intern. President of the United States, her husband, disgraced this country with what he did in the Oval Office. And she, she didn’t just stand by him — she attacked Monica Lewinsky. And after being married to Bill Clinton for 20 years, if you didn’t know the moment Monica Lewinsky said that Bill Clinton violated her, she was telling the truth, then you’re too stupid to be president.”

Wow... just.... wow....Chat Icon Chat Icon

Too stupid to be president because she stayed with her husband.....

Meanwhile, Guiliani is also a cheater who paraded around with his mistress while married to Donna Hanover. He's the last person that should be speaking about this topic.

This.

It is no coincidence that countless devoted republicans have publicly announced that they will be voting for HRC. George H.W. Bush, for f*ck's sake! If that isn't telling, I don't know what is.

The Debate

How disgusting some of these responses.

People should be embarrassed.

If you can't discuss your POV with educated, respectful responses without degrading someone else for their views in the process you are every bit the reason why this country is going to hell in a hand basket.

Re-read your responses to people and see if you feel just the slightest bit shamed, then grow up...

LOL Really?

So everyone hated me? Yea, the ones that I outed for creating a group bashing other girls appearances, FH's, etc. I don't tolerate nasty people that bully people. It is so mean and down right nasty. I think you have your views on me confused with yourself.

You have changed your name on here because people were ignoring your posts.

YOU have been kicked out of Facebook groups for being the nasty person that you are, creating drama and fights. Granted, I get into my fair share of drama but because I call people out on BS and don't tolerate it. I am actually a very kind person but whatever, you think I am a nasty person and that is alright.

People have met YOU in real life and found you as bitchy in real life as you are on here.

YOU must feel really crappy about yourself and you should. Bullying is nasty, Ramming your thoughts on everything and shoving them down everyone's throats is distasteful and not being tolerant at all which true liberals I know are actually tolerant. You are the opposite of that.

So take a good look at yourself before pointing your finger at me for being a *****. Because honey, you are the biggest one here. And I don't even like calling other women that.

See this is what I don't understand. Earlier you commented on Hillary and how she was b*tchy, was a b*tch, about her outfit, etc. These are sexism issues and that was said earlier in the thread. Then you say the above. It doesn't make much sense and is contradictory.

You mention the "superpredator" comment and then I have seen in previous threads about racism and comments you have made. There was some earlier thread, I vaguely remember, about Paula Deen and comments you made about the n-word (search function is not working). You seem to be quite contradictory at times.

I just don't understand how you can make comments like these and then say you are concerned with issues such as feminism and racism.

The Paula Deen post I did not say anything- it was my BLACK friend Marc's post that I copied and posted on here. I did not say any of those words. I posted it in shock that my friend Marc would say something like that being black. YOU misconstrued it and said that I said it. A million people even pointed it out.

The guns- YES, I support the 2nd Amendment. I feel there should be SOME control. Like background checks and such. But I feel that law abiding citizens should be able to have firearms.

I truly believe Hillary is a bitchh. I did say that. I don't know her on a personal level but I think she is one. It takes a lot for me to say it. t's like th C word. I hate it but if I truly dislike someone, I say it and that is an extremely rare occasion.

So what don't you get?

ETA: I posted about the 2nd Amendment b/c you mentioned it earlier with views on it / cops / etc.

Oh and Super Predators. Hillary claims she embraces the black community and she is so FOS! B/c of the super predators. She can't even be serious. That does bother me. B/c she praises this love when she made that comment. THAT is contradictory.
