It's happening again!

2nd time in 3 months I get to the five week mark, and then it's over! Why is this happening again?? I'm really starting to get nervous my body won't be able to hang on to another baby? Should I be calling my dr and asking for bloodwork? I'm so upset and confused!

Yes. That happened to me. After my 3rd loss, I found out I have many clotting issues but they're easy to manage. Good luck!!!

Re: It's happening again!

Same thing happened to me. 2 losses in 3 months, both at the 5 week mark. I'm so sorry for your losses. Chat Icon

After the second one, I went to the RE (fertility doctor). I'd needed to go there to get pregnant the first time, but since having DD my cycles are so much more regular. I'd been hoping to avoid it this time around. They took 26 vials of blood (Chat Icon) and I'm waiting on the results - should have them next week. And I'll be getting monitored / taking meds to get pregnant again the next time. Whether there's something wrong or it was just terrible luck, I really want to be at that office getting monitored the second I get my next bfp.

Re: It's happening again!

Definitely call. This happened to me twice. The 3rd time I went on progesterone suppositories and that seems to have fixed it and resulted in DS2.

I am so sorry. I have had two chemicals too. I hope it is an easy fix. Are your doctors monitoring your progesterone? I think that may have been my issue

The nurse practitioner in the office is refusing to help me any further. I keep asking about progesterone and she keeps telling me that doesn't cause early miscarriages. So she sends me for bloodwork 3 days after my period started to check my betas. (Almost 2 weeks since my positive preg tests) then she calls me 2 days later and says "your bloodwork is neg." I'm like what does that mean. She says "you probably just had false positive pregnancy tests" ...... Right, so I took 4 tests (1digital) 3 different kinds and all were false positive! Oh and the same months I had false positives my periods just decided to be really late!! Not to mention the fact that there really isn't such thing as false positive unless you read the test wrong, or have the hcg trigger shots, which I didn't have. I'm pretty sure it's difficult to read a digital test that says "pregnant" wrong!

So now I just feel like no one believes me, and I gotta wait for it to happen again. I was told as soon as I get a positive to go in for bloodwork. Which they told me last time, but I didn't understand the significance of it. So I'm hoping it just doesn't happen again! We'll see! Everyone keeps telling me to call and only speak with the dr, but I'm just not aggressive like that, so I haven't been able to.

It's happening again!

THERE ARE NO SUCH THING AS FALSE POSITIVES..... I would change doctors ASAP... for a practitioner to say that?!?!?!? That's what a chemical is!!!! Oh that pisses me off so badly. go to an RE, and DEFINITELY change doctors!

I would recommend you either speak directly to your doctor or change the practice you're going to. Progesterone can definately be a reason for a early loss - and they should monitor you to figure out what exactly is going on. I'm sorry you have to go through that - it's super frustrating, but definately seek other advice/help if you're not getting what you need from them. Chat Icon

All of this! ^^^

I can't believe someone in a doctor's office would say that. We need to find you a new doctor. Tell us where you are!

It's happening again!

Why wouldn't an offiice test for that after one loss so you don't have to go through another? When they take blood after a MC, would that show is it is low?
