We have only been to Shipwreck Cove, but I like that they have the splash pool that the entire structure is in. I believe Tanner Park is just on the pavement.

We've never been to Tanner but we went to Shipwreck Cove a few weeks ago and loved it! Plus the beach is right there so when you're done with the sprinkler park part you can walk over to the beach.

I've never been to Shipwreck Cove, but at Tanner the water pressure is very hard, so the little kids can't really enjoy it. When we went several parents were complaining about it.

Where exactly is Shipwreck Cove? How much per person? I am thinking this might be a fun place to take the boys tomorrow or Friday.

Shipwreck Cove is in the Bay Shore Marina. I'm not really sure how much it is for Islip non-residents but I *think* its $10 to park and then $10 per person...kids 3 and under are free. If you have the Islip recreation pass its free parking and $7 per person. Totally worth it. We had a great time! Shipwreck Cove- click me
