Gas Station advice...
I know this is random but I want to know what you do at the gas station.
Do you think it's wrong to leave your child or infant in the car while you go in to pay cash for your gas?
What do you do?

Gas Station advice...
I would never leave her in the car to go on to pay. I am also a little skeeved of gas stations, so I wouldnt want her touching anything or inhaling the gas fumes. So i pay at the pump.

I didnt answer the poll bc there is no option for what I do. I am a FTWM so I will go get gas at lunch or on my way home when I am alone for the simple fact of it's difficult with DD in the car. If its summer (im a teacher) or I am off and need gas I will go to a station that pumps it for you. Otherwise I take her out of the carseat, put her in the carrier, pump the gas with her, go get my change, then return her to the carseat. That is not often bc it's a p.i.t.a.!

okay can I just say I love you for asking this question. Dont laugh but until maybe a couple of month ago I NEVER PUMPED MY OWN GAS. I would always go to the full serve pump After the hurricane I had no choice but to learn how to pump my own gas and this very question popped into my head. thank you!!!! 
Now that I do pump my own gas I pay at the pump.

I pay at the pump, but if I didn't - I would take her in with me while I paid. I wouldn't feel comortable leaving her in the car without me there.

I go to full serve stations so i dont have to worry about this. But i think i would just pay at the pump. Or take her in with me to pay, put her back in the car, then pump the gas.

I won't leave my kids in the car to go pay for anything. I either pay at the pump or take them in with me.

I personally think it's okay to lock the door and go in if you are at the pump closest to the attendant's booth and keep your eye on the car. I pay at the pump and always have even before kids but if I only had cash one day, no I wouldn't lug both kids in with me.
eta obviously there are certain variables too, like is there a line to pay, is it physicallypossible to watch the car, am I ina familiar gas station or some bad neigh, etc

No one says you have to leave them in the car - you can take them in with you. And credit is usually 10 cents more, so it is like $1.50 difference when you fill up - I wouldn't say that is sooo much extra when gassing up your car costs like $60. And then you get the points on your credit card, so you might even be better off actually.
I usually go to a full serve gas station or get DH to gas up my car for me, but it is mostly out of laziness - the thought of paying inside and leaving DD in the car never even crossed my mind.
If I was in a situation where I had to leave DD in the car for a minute where I could see her, I would do it. We left her in the car sleeping while we ran into the house the other day - we just locked the doors. Flame away!

Gas Station advice...
I make DH fill my tank! I read somewhere that it's not good to pump gas if you're nursing so DH goes along with it. On the rare occasions I get it myself I pay at the pump. I always have anyway, but no, I wouldn't leave her in the car. There are two full serve stations by me and another where they give the cash price for using a debit card so those are options if I don't want to pay with credit.

i rarely get gas when DD is in the car. But either way i very rarely have cash so 99.9% I pay debit and a pump my own cash.
If have to get gas when DD is in the car and i had to pay cash and i was at self pump i would take her in. But honestly this situtaion would only happen if there was litteraly no other gas station around, and i needed gas. I would just wait to get gas without DD or find a full server.

DH would kill me if I locked the doors and went inside to pay.. It doesnt take someone long to steal a car, and my parents car was hijacked when I was a baby, my mother had to plead for them to let her take me out.

I have always paid at the pump with my credit card. I like to get points. I don't think I would leave DD in the car to pay unless it was right next to the attendant's booth.

I usually pay at the pump or if I'm one of those gas stations where the attendant is in a little booth I park my car next to that booth and pay.
If I had to go into the store to pay I always take DD with me. Even now and she's 5.

I always pay at the pump, but if for some reason I couldn't, I would NEVER leave them in the car, EVER. I would take them in with me to pay.
