NPR - purchase vent long - aggravated

I ordered an item from someone on FB.. she has a small business and apparently is related to a friend from high school.. it was a minimal amount of $ and she said she doesn't have a paypal could I send her cash.. again it was only $5.00 so I sent it. I specified that I needed the item by June 10th at the LATEST and she said ok she would have it to me. Today is the 13th and I still haven't gotten it, so I contacted her and she said "I got your money on Saturday (6/4), mailed it on Monday (6/6) so you should have gotten it, I tried my best, take care"

I was soooo annoyed not even by the loss of $5 or not having the item when I needed it (for part of a gift that I had told the person they were getting, so I looked dumb by not having it) but by her response.. first of all I mailed the $ on 5/25 so I dunno how it took 10 days to get to her, but even if it did, I told her the day I mailed it and she knew when she received it so how would she think that 4 days was enough for the package to get to me?

She said that when I get the item I can mail it back and she will refund me $5. WHO in their right mind would finally receive the item.. while supposed to be on bedrest go and re-mail it.. pay to ship it back and then receive less money than they spent as a refund?!?
