preparing myself

so tonight DH and I are off to a fire dept function. Let me start by saying I LOVE the people in his fire house. The guys are great their wives are sweet, and we all have so much fun when we're together.....but.....there is the inevitable question that someone will ask, and to top it all off there are two couples who were married after us who are now expecting....so wish me luck, wish me patience and lets hope that smile plastered to my face is atleast mostly genuine cuz I really really want to be happy for these people!!
thank god I'm not in the 2WW cuz I'm thinking me and my martini are gonna be besties

thanks, we're back. It was fun, we're so lucky to have so many great friends. I took the plunge and when someone said so what about you? I shrugged and said its not for lack of trying :) I'm not sure why I was afraid to admit to our friends that we were trying w/out success, there wasn't an ounce of awkwardness, I was very relieved, and I'm grateful to have it out in the open.
