Hair and make up- I do that myself

I don't wear much make up- and I hate how other people do it

Dress- I try not to spend more then $100

I got a really cute $320 dress at NM last call for $83 for the wedding I have next week

I will wear it with gold strappy shoes I already own

I don't count the mani/pedi- b/c I get those regardless of where I am going

so to tally it up for the wedding next week

Me- $83

DH- $200 for the RENTAL tux - he is a groomsmen Chat Icon

depends on what I am wearing. I have had events where I found a dress for very cheap (less than $100) and there are other events where I purchased a much more expensive dress ($250+). Generally I try to wear shoes I already have, or if a have a whole mess of events, I buy some that I can wear to all of them. On average, I would say $150-200/event.

I'm not a big spender at all, but if I am starting from scratch, over $250.

I went to DH's cousin's wedding last September & spent around $350, just on getting done up. I needed a new dress and then things just spiraled out of control.

I bought
Dress,
Shoes
Insoles
Spanx
Bra
Clutch

I alsmost bought nw jewellery, but I didn't see anything I liked.
If I had been local, i would have gotten my hair done too, and If I hadn't been running late, I would have gotten my nails & toes done too.

On the other hand, the year before we wnet to a wedding of a friend & I used a dress & shoes I had, so I only spent money on getting my nails & eyebrows done. I wore closed toe shoes & didn't get a pedi,
so like $25!

Highlights, haircut and blowout $150-$200 with tax and tip (I usually get this done before an event and try to space this out between events / weddings I have)

Mani/Pedi (I usually do this myself unless I have a wedding) $40 where I live

Spray-on Tanning (sometimes) $50

That is about $250 BEFORE a dress or shoes. If I buy new, add $200.

manicure, pedicure and eyebrows = $25

and thats about it. I do my own hair and makeup unless I am in the wedding.

And I bought two black dresses for $100 each and I alternate. I know some women would rather die than do that but I have/ had about 12 weddings in 2008/2009 and it worked out that I never had to double up in front of the same people ( besides DH of course! LOL )

I bet I wear one of them over ten times!

If I get my hair done its only $30 bc I just get a blow out

I am a cheap lady Chat Icon

Re: How much do you spend (on average) soup to nuts, preparing for a BIG night out (formal wedding and the like)

I get a mani-pedi for about 20-25 bucks total, plus the tip

Maybe wax my eyebrows if I haven't already done it recently....

I already have several dresses, but if I had to buy a dress, probably 150

I do my own hair and makeup - I have a very fresh and natural look - I pride myself on not needing to spend a lot to look gorgeous! Chat Icon
